During the caravan, participants received medical consultations to address various health concerns. In addition, PhilHealth registration and updating services were conducted, allowing community members to enroll or update their records to ensure continued access to health benefits.

The PWD Serbisyo Express was successfully conducted at Barangay Sto. Niño, one of Pinamalayan’s designated PuroKalusugan sites. The activity aimed to bring essential and inclusive services closer to persons with disabilities within their community.

During the event, beneficiaries received medical consultations along with laboratory services, ensuring comprehensive health assessments and early detection of medical conditions. The activity also facilitated PWD registration and updating, allowing individuals to enroll, renew, or correct their records for proper documentation and access to programs.

The initiative was made possible through the support of the Sangguniang Barangay, headed by Barangay Captain Edna Limbo, demonstrating strong local government commitment to promoting the welfare and inclusion of PWDs in the community.

Pinamalayan : Monthly Meeting for BNS

The Meeting for the Barangay Nutrition Scholars of Pinamalayan was successfully conducted under the facilitation of MNAO Nurse Amafe Lozano and Midwife Ivy Cupada. The activity served as an avenue to strengthen coordination, enhance reporting practices, and prepare for the upcoming year’s nutrition initiatives.

During the meeting, the facilitators thoroughly discussed the Barangay Nutrition Action Plan (BNAP), emphasizing priority programs, progress updates, and areas that require strengthened implementation. BNS were also reminded of the requirements for year-end report submission, ensuring timely and accurate consolidation of accomplishments for 2025.

A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to the planning of activities for 2026, where BNS, together with the municipal nutrition team, outlined proposed activities, strategies, and timelines for next year’s nutrition-related interventions. This collaborative planning aimed to ensure smoother implementation, better community engagement, and improved service delivery.

The activity was also attended by Ms. Yolenda Rosales, who provided valuable inputs and addressed several queries raised by the BNS. Nurse Liana Merque assisted in clarifying additional concerns during the open forum and question-and-answer portion, ensuring that all issues were properly discussed and resolved.

Overall, the meeting strengthened coordination among the BNS, improved data management practices, and laid the groundwork for a more organized and efficient nutrition program implementation for 2026.

Sa pakikipagtulungan ng PhilHealth Calapan, Sangguniang Barangay, at Senior Citizens Federation ng Barangay Papandayan, hatid ng Municipal Health Office ng Pinamalayan ang komprehensibong serbisyong pangkalusugan para sa buong komunidad, lalo na sa ating mga minamahal na senior citizens.

TB Patrol || November 20,2025

As part of the Municipal Health Office of Pinamalayan’s continuous efforts to strengthen tuberculosis prevention, control, and patient support, the team conducted a home visit for a TB patient in the community.

During the visit, the team carried out Provider-Initiated Counseling and Testing , provided health education on TB management, treatment adherence, infection prevention, and overall wellness, and distributed a food pack along with a hygiene kit to support the patient’s nutritional and hygiene needs.

This initiative demonstrates the MHO Pinamalayan’s commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered care, ensuring that TB patients receive not only medical supervision but also psychosocial and material support, empowering them and their families in the fight against tuberculosis.

The Women’s Health Caravan was successfully conducted at the Pambisan Munti Barangay Health Station as part of the Municipal Health Office of Pinamalayan’s continuous efforts to promote women’s health and well-being.

Led by Midwife Monette Montemar together with the MHO staff, the activity featured essential services including health education on breast and cervical cancer awareness, modern family planning orientation, the conduct of Pap Smear, and the provision of family planning services, primarily implant insertion.

This initiative also served as a Cervical and Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention Activity under the Non-Communicable Diseases Program, aiming to strengthen early detection and empower women with the proper knowledge for cancer prevention.

The MHO Pinamalayan, under the leadership of Dr. Nina Kristinne Punzalan, extends its sincere appreciation to the entire Sangguniang Barangay of Pambisan Munti for their active cooperation and unwavering support in ensuring the success of this program, which strives to provide accessible, quality, and inclusive healthcare services to the community.

SPESYAL CARAVAN || Brgy. Quinabigan

The S.P.E.S.Y.A.L. Caravan (Serbisyong Pangkalusugan: Eksklusibo’t Sapat, YAKAP ang Lahat) was successfully conducted on November 18, 2025, at Barangay Quinabigan, Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro. In partnership with PhilHealth Calapan, the Municipal Health Office of Pinamalayan brought comprehensive healthcare services to the community, particularly to our beloved senior citizens.

The caravan featured a wide range of services, including YAKAP registration, PhilHealth updating, free medical consultations, medicines, and laboratory services. A medical check-up activity was successfully conducted at Barangay Pambisan Munti, Sitio Amogis, organized by the Municipal Health Office headed by Dra. Nina Kristinne Punzalan. The activity was led on-ground by Rural Health Physician , Dra. Princess Kaye Morales, with the program initiated by Midwife Monette Marie Montemar in partnership with the Sangguniang Barangay of Pambisan Munti.

Sitio Amogis is home to our Indigenous Peoples community, making this outreach especially meaningful as it provided vital healthcare services to residents who often have limited access to routine medical care. The activity offered medical assessment, health education, and supportive guidance tailored to the needs of the community.

Through the collective efforts of the MHO team and barangay officials, this initiative reaffirmed the commitment to inclusive and accessible healthcare bringing essential services closer to every household and ensuring that even our farthest and most vulnerable communities are cared for.
