Dental Health Program at Barangay Wawa|| October 15,2025

A Dental Health Program was successfully conducted at Barangay Wawa, facilitated by Midwife Jeanete Capio together with Municipal Dentist Dr. Gizelle Muncada. The activity aimed to promote proper oral hygiene and preventive dental care among young children.

The Philippine Dental Association – Oriental Mindoro Chapter also joined and supported the activity, further strengthening the advocacy for oral health promotion in the community.

During the program, Dr. Muncada conducted dental check-ups for daycare students and provided a lecture on proper oral hygiene and tooth care practices. The session emphasized the importance of regular dental visits, correct toothbrushing, and healthy eating habits to prevent tooth decay and maintain good oral health.

This initiative reflects the continuous efforts of the Municipal Health Office of Pinamalayan, in partnership with the PDA Oriental Mindoro Chapter, to promote oral health and overall well-being among children and families.

HIV Desk and Condom Dispenser Launching at Barangay Ranzo|| OCTOBER 15,2025

A health activity was successfully conducted at Barangay Ranzo, highlighting the launching of the HIV Desk and Condom Dispenser. The program was facilitated by Nurse Ardrian Valdez and also attended by MHO Pinamalayan Adolescent program coordinator Midwife Ayreen Paunilan.

As part of the advocacy, students from Ranzo High School were also given a health lecture on HIV awareness and prevention, emphasizing the importance of responsible behavior, safe practices, and access to reproductive health services. This initiative aims to empower the youth with proper knowledge and promote a community that is well-informed and proactive in preventing HIV and other sexually transmitted infections .

Special thanks to the Sangguniang Barangay of Ranzo for their unwavering support and cooperation in making this activity possible. Together, we continue to strengthen our commitment to HIV prevention and health promotion within the community.

✨ PWD Serbisyo Express sa Barangay Sta. Maria ||Serbisyong Malapit sa Mamamayan ||
OCTOBER 15,2025

Patuloy sa layunin nitong maihatid ang de-kalidad na serbisyong pangkalusugan at suporta para sa mga Persons with Disability (PWDs), matagumpay na isinagawa ngayong araw ang PWD Serbisyo Express sa Barangay Sta Maria.

Sa pangunguna ni Dra. Paulene Julye Cabaya mula sa Municipal Health Office Pinamalayan, isinagawa ang libreng laboratory services at medical consultation para sa mga PWD. Katuwang sa programa si Sir Reginaldo Tolentino, ang PWD representative, na nanguna sa eleksyon ng mga bagong opisyal ng samahan ng PWD sa barangay.

Isa rin sa mga mahalagang bahagi ng aktibidad ang registration at updating ng mga miyembro ng PWD sector, na layuning mapanatili ang tumpak at napapanahong talaan upang mas mapalawak at mas mapahusay pa ang mga programang nakalaan para sa kanila.

Binigyang-diin din sa programa ang pagpapaliwanag kung sino lamang ang kwalipikado sa aplikasyon ng PWD ID, upang matiyak na ang mga benepisyo at serbisyo ay maipagkakaloob sa mga totoong nangangailangan. Sinundan ito ng isang open forum, kung saan nagkaroon ng pagkakataon ang mga kalahok na magtanong at malinawan hinggil sa mga programa at serbisyong nakalaan para sa kanila.

Bilang bahagi ng kabuuang serbisyo, nagbigay rin ng libreng pneumonia vaccine upang mapalakas ang kalusugan ng mga PWD.

Taos-pusong pasasalamat sa Sangguniang Barangay ng Sta. Maria sa kanilang buong suporta sa aktibidad, sa pangunguna ni Punong Barangay Barangay Jesus Marciano na naging katuwang sa matagumpay na pagsasakatuparan ng programang ito para sa ating mga PWD.

Sa pamamagitan ng PWD Serbisyo Express, muling pinatunayan ng Municipal Health Office Pinamalayan, sa pamumuno ni Dra. Nina Kristinne Punzalan at sa mandato ng ating People's MAYOR, ang patuloy nitong pangako sa inklusibong serbisyong pangkalusugan ,isang hakbang tungo sa mas malusog, mas produktibo, at mas empowered na komunidad ng mga Persons with Disability. ♿️👩‍⚕️

Kasalukuyang isinasagawa sa buong bayan ng Pinamalayan ang simultaneous Operation Timbang (OPT) activities simula Oktubre 14, upang matiyak ang tumpak at maayos na datos sa nutrisyon ng mga batang Pinamalayeño.

Ang gawaing ito ay pinangungunahan ng mga Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) katuwang ang kani-kanilang nurses at midwives, sa ilalim ng pangangasiwa ng Municipal Nutrition Action Office at Municipal Health Office.

Layunin ng sabayang OPT na makapangalap ng standardized at accurate data sa lahat ng barangay, na magsisilbing batayan sa tamang pagpaplano ng mga programa at interbensyon upang labanan ang malnutrisyon sa mga bata.

Sa pamamagitan ng sama-samang pagsisikap ng mga health workers, barangay officials, at partner agencies, inaasahang magiging mas epektibo at komprehensibo ang pagsubaybay sa kalagayang pangnutrisyon ng mga batang Pinamalayeño.

October 14,2025 || Inaugural Joint Meeting of the Reconstituted Local Health Board and Municipal Nutrition Council

A well-attended Joint Municipal Nutrition Committee (MNC) and Local Health Board (LHB) Meeting of the Municipality of Pinamalayan was successfully held today, highlighting the continuing commitment of the local government to strengthen health and nutrition programs.

The meeting was graced by the presence of Municipal Mayor Hon. Rodolfo Magsino, Vice Mayor Hon. Aristeo A. Baldos Jr., Committee on Health Chairperson Hon. Maria Fatima Liwanag, and various cluster representatives, civil society organizations, and department heads of the Local Government Unit of Pinamalayan.

Also in attendance were Ms. Ronice Lieda Guavis, representative from the Provincial Department of Health Office; Mr. Carlo Cruzado, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO); and the newly elected Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) Officers, who joined in the discussions and expressed their support for the municipality’s nutrition initiatives.

The activity was presided over by Public Health Nurse Michael Naadat, with the Municipal Health Officer Dra. Nina Kristinne Punzalan, and the Municipal Nutrition Action Officer Amafe Lozano presenting the Operation Timbang (OPT) results and the current municipal nutrition situation in relation to provincial data.

Several health and nutrition resolutions were discussed and approved, underscoring the collaborative efforts of the municipal leadership, health professionals, and partner agencies toward a healthier and well-nourished Pinamalayan.

The meeting concluded with renewed commitments from all stakeholders to further enhance the implementation of health and nutrition programs across all barangays, ensuring that every Pinamalayeño has access to quality health services and proper nutrition.

Pre-Marriage Counseling sa Municipal Health Office of Pinamalayan 💍

Bilang bahagi ng adbokasiya para sa matatag na pamilya at responsableng pag-aasawa, patuloy na isinasagawa ng Municipal Health Office of Pinamalayan ang Pre-Marriage Counseling (PMC) para sa mga magkasintahang nagnanais magpakasal.

Ang programang ito ay alinsunod sa itinakdang batas na Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Act (RA 10354), na layuning bigyan ng sapat na kaalaman ang mga ikinakasal hinggil sa mahahalagang aspeto ng buhay may-asawa, tulad ng:

🔹 Kalusugang reproduktibo at family planning
🔹 Paninindigan at pananagutang moral sa buhay mag-asawa
🔹 Pagpaplano ng pamilya at pagpapalaki ng anak
🔹 Mga legal na aspeto ng kasal
🔹 Maayos na komunikasyon at pagresolba ng alitan sa relasyon

Ang sesyon ay pinangungunahan ng kwalipikadong health professional upang matiyak na ang bawat kalahok ay ganap na handa hindi lamang emosyonal, kundi pati pisikal at mental sa bago nilang yugto bilang mag-asawa.

Bukod sa pagbibigay ng mahahalagang impormasyon, layunin din ng PMC na mahikayat ang mga magkasintahan na maging responsableng magulang, magkaroon ng matatag na pagsasama, at bumuo ng masayang pamilya na may tamang pagpapasya para sa kalusugan at kinabukasan.

📌 Paalala: Ang Pre-Marriage Counseling Certificate ay isa sa mga pangunahing requirements sa pagkuha ng Marriage License, kaya mahalagang maisagawa at makumpleto ito bago ang itinakdang araw ng kasal.

Last October 9, 2025, our Municipal Health Office team of dedicated doctors, nurses, and midwives attended Layag-Isip: A Basic Course on Psychiatric Management (3rd Post Graduate Course) organized by the Batangas Medical Center – Department of Psychiatry.

This enriching experience aimed to boost their knowledge and skills in psychiatric care, enhancing their ability to provide holistic support to our communities. Kudos to our MHO team for pursuing growth in mental health care!
