To all Faculty, Students and Employees:
Google has announced changes to their storage policies that affect all users of Workspace for Education (formerly G-Suite for Education). The previously offered unlimited storage will no longer be available to educational institutions. More detailed information on the changes can be found here: https://www.blog.google/outreach-initiatives/education/google-workspace-for-education/
This change in policy will affect all users of FEU-NRMF (Faculty, students and employees) who are using the -nrmf.edu.ph or .feu-nrmf.edu.ph google accounts. The new storage policy will take effect on July 1, 2022.
In order to comply with the new storage restrictions FEU-NRMF will now need to implement storage size restrictions on all users. The size allotted to each user will be as follows:
• Faculty : 15 GB
• Enrolled Students: 15 GB
• Admin : 15 GB
• Alumni : 1 GB
• Employees : 1 GB
The size restrictions above will be implemented by default. Any user who needs more space than what is allocated may contact the IT department to request additional space.
All users are advised to check the following link to see a breakdown of the storage they are using: https://drive.google.com/settings/storage
If you are close to or above the storage limit please remove non-school / work related data in your drive and also attachments in your mailbox (inbox and sent).
Users who require more online storage space are advised to utilize their Microsoft OneDrive account that is created using their FEU-NRMF account. These accounts have a default limit of 1TB per user. Users that need more space than this can contact IT for other options. Users who have not yet created their Office 365 account can do so by using this link https://www.microsoft.com/en-ph/education/products/office and sign up using their -nrmf.edu.ph or .feu-nrmf.edu.ph account.
