The RHU Polangui through its Sanitary and Nutrition Office in coordination with concerned office, conducted market salt monitoring activities to ensure compliance with Republic Act No. 8172, also known as the Republic Act No. 8172 or the ASIN Law.

This activity aims to guarantee that only iodized salt is being sold in our local markets, helping prevent iodine deficiency disorders and promoting better nutrition among our constituents. Regular monitoring and advocacy efforts strengthen our commitment to safeguarding the health of every Polangueño.

We encourage all vendors and consumers to support the use and sale of iodized salt for a healthier community.

Together, let us uphold the ASIN Law for a stronger and healthier Polangui! 🧂🌱

Empowering our nutrition frontliners for a healthier Polangui! 💚

The Local Government Unit of Polangui, through the Nutrition Office, successfully conducted the 3-Day Basic Training Course for our Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS). This comprehensive training equipped our newly designated barangay nutrition scholars with essential knowledge and skills in community-based nutrition programs, growth monitoring, the First 1,000 Days of Life, nutrition counseling, and proper reporting systems.

For three meaningful days, our BNS strengthened their capacity to become effective partners in addressing malnutrition and promoting healthier families in every barangay.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our resource speaker, and participants for their active engagement and commitment to public service.

2nd Barangay Nutrition Scholars Meeting
for CY 2026

The 2nd Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) Meeting of the Municipality of Polangui was successfully conducted, bringing together our dedicated frontliners in nutrition service.

The meeting focused on program updates, monitoring of nutrition status, accomplishment reporting, and strengthening strategies to further improve the delivery of nutrition services in every barangay. It also served as a venue to address concerns, share best practices and experiences, and reinforce our collective commitment to combat malnutrition in the community.

The Local Government Unit of Polangui through its Nutrition Office extends its sincere appreciation to all Barangay Nutrition Scholars for their unwavering dedication and invaluable contribution to building a healthier and more resilient municipality.

Polangueños! Makiisa at makilahok sa taunang Operation Timbang Plus sa inyong mga Barangay.

Ang LGU Polangui ay patuloy na isinusulong ang pangangalaga sa kalusugan at nutrisyon ng ating mga bata sa pamamagitan ng Operation Timbang Plus (OPT Plus)—isang mahalagang gawain upang masubaybayan ang kalagayang nutrisyon ng mga batang Pilipino sa ating komunidad.

𝐀𝐧𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐥𝐮𝐬?
Ang OPT Plus ay isang taunang programa kung saan tinitimbang at sinusukat ang taas ng mga bata upang matukoy kung sila ay:
• Normal ang timbang
• Underweight
• Stunted (mababa sa edad ang tangkad)
• Wasted (kulang sa timbang batay sa tangkad)
• Overweight o obese

✔️ Mga batang edad 0–59 buwan gulang

𝐁𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐏𝐓 𝐏𝐥𝐮𝐬?
✅ Nakatutulong upang maagang matukoy ang mga batang may suliranin sa nutrisyon
✅ Nagiging batayan sa pagpaplano ng nutrition programs at interventions ng LGU
✅ Nakakatulong sa pag-iwas sa malnutrisyon, sakit, at mabagal na paglaki
✅ Nagbibigay daan sa agarang referral at suporta sa mga batang nangangailangan ng tulong

🤝 Hinihikayat ng LGU Polangui, sa pangunguna ng RHU Polangui at Nutrition Office at katuwang ang mga Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), health workers, at mga magulang, ang lahat na makilahok at makipagtulungan sa pagsasagawa ng Operation Timbang Plus sa kani-kanilang barangay.
