The Pontevedra Main Primary Care Facility has been honored with Plaques of Recognition for the HIGHEST ACCOMPLISHMENT for the Tuberculosis Case Notification Rate for C.Y. 2024-2025 (Top 2 in the entire province) and for being the BEST PERFORMING Primary Care Facility on Tuberculosis Case Finding and Detection.

In addition, the facility also received a certificate of recognition for its invaluable commitment to the TB program, giving selfless care to patients diagnosed with tuberculosis.

Receiving the awards was Medical Technologist Eliseo Pabalinas III during the Program Implementation Review of the National Tuberculosis Control and Prevention Program last November 21, 2025 at Negros Residences, Bacolod City.

Under Mayor Jose Maria Alonso’s leadership, support of physicians Johnson Zuloaga and Venice Penit, aid of the PCF midwives and BHWs, & the steadfast effort of the entire iDOTS team: DRTB nurse May Joy Danasco, DOH HRH Trisha Danao, Milex Gaurino & Mae Bonilla, Medtechs Lovejoy Sulleza and Eliseo Pabalinas, Encoder Maribel Carillo, PBSP ComVol Jan Micheal Ca-alim, PCF personnel Zennia Untal, and National Tuberculosis Program nurse coordinator, Cheissa Dame Arricivita, CONGRATULATIONS on the notable achievements!

Last October 18-21,2025 the staff of Pontevedra Main PCF together with the Pontevedra LDRRMO attended the Basic Life Support and Standard First Aid training conducted by the Provincial Health Office-HEMS. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Standard First Aid (SFA) training are two essential courses that teach you how to respond to medical emergencies.
Again, we would like to thank the PHO for allowing us to conduct this training, to our pool of trainers headed by Miss Mervielyn Claor our course monitor, Miss May Joy Danasco our DRRM-H Manager, Miss Joebeth Esmeralda, Pontevedra Main PCF and LDRRMO staff and our Municipal Mayor Hon. Jose Maria A. Alonso for his unwaving support for the said activity.Hoping that through this training we could deliver a quality health service especially during calamities and disasters with a first aider equipped with knowledge,skills and attitude ready to serve anytime and anywhere.

Pontevedra Main Primary Care Facility would like to thank everyone who participated and extended their time and effort during Mobile Blood Donation last 2024, with your help we received many recognition from the Provincial Health Office through Sandugo Awarding Ceremony held November 14, 2025.

Thank you to our municipal mayor, Hon. Jose Maria A. Alonso, for your non-stop support on our Blood Leeting Activity, to our former MHO Dr. Johnson C. Zuloaga and to our DTTB Dr. Venice B. Penit thank you for sparing your time every Blood Donation. To Pontevedra Main PCF midwives and staff this too is our success, hoping this year 2025 we could help more people who are in need of blood. And to all donors thank you for choosing to be heroes we could not get this recognition without you all.
