Look | Malaria Prevention 🦟

In line with our commitment to health and wellness, NSAJ MD personnel, in collaboration with the City Health Office of Palawan, conducted blood screening for malaria and distributed mosquito nets to all personnel deployed at Naval Station Carlito Cunanan, Naval Detachment Oyster Bay, and Caihulo Detachment.

This initiative reinforces our ongoing efforts to safeguard our personnel from malaria and promote a healthier, more resilient naval community, highlighting the importance of maintaining a disease-free and mission-ready force.

A New Chapter in Healthcare Excellence 🎉

On 11 April 2025, NSAJ Medical Dispensary (NSAJ MD) proudly achieved another major milestone as an officially Accredited PhilHealth YAKAP Provider (formerly Konsulta).

Our dedicated NSAJ MD personnel actively participated in several PhilHealth Palawan led activities, including the YAKAP Orientation, Stakeholders’ Forum, and one-on-one hands-on training on patient encoding through the PhilHealth Konsulta Portal. These initiatives have equipped our team with the knowledge and skills to provide accessible, comprehensive, and continuous primary care services, ensuring that PN personnel and their dependents receive the quality healthcare they deserve.

This milestone marks our continued commitment to supporting the vision of PhilHealth YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program) embracing every Filipino in quality, compassionate, and inclusive healthcare.

Look | NSAJ Medical Dispensary Personnel Attend 5-Day HIV Awareness Counseling and Testing Seminar

NSAJ Medical Dispensary personnel successfully participated in the 5-Day HIV Awareness, Counseling, and Testing Seminar and HIV Core Response Team Training last 11–15 August 2025 at Camp Ricarte Station Hospital.

The training was conducted by the U.S. Department of Defense PEPFAR (President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief) in collaboration with CRSH.

Throughout the five-day seminar, participants engaged in lectures, workshops, and practical sessions on counseling and HIV testing, aimed at enhancing their competencies and strengthening the dispensary’s HIV response initiatives.

This initiative underscores NSAJ Medical Dispensary’s continued commitment to promoting public health and supporting the national effort against HIV/AIDS.

Look | Bukol Mission in Partnership with Gabay Kalinga Foundation 💉

CPT JOBELLE ELLAINE M SINCIOCO MC, Commanding Officer of NSAJ Medical Dispensary, together with HM1 Jojit L Mararac PN and HM3 Ruddean Dela Cruz PN, in collaboration with COL RACHELLE JUDILLA MC, Commanding Officer of Camp Ricarte Station Hospital (CRSH), successfully conducted a Bukol Mission in partnership with The Gift of Service Medical Mission of the Gabay Kalinga Foundation on 18 October 2025 at LionHeart Office, Brgy. Punta Baja, Rizal, Palawan.

A total of 12 beneficiaries from the Municipality of Rizal availed of free surgical and dental mission during the activity. This initiative underscores the continuous commitment of the Philippine Navy, through NSAJ MD, to deliver quality healthcare services and extend medical support to the local communities within its area of responsibility.

Through collaborative efforts and dedicated service, the unit remains steadfast in upholding its mission of promoting the health and welfare of the people it serves.

📌The Chief Nurse Navy leads Two-Day Mission to Boost Medical Readiness and Lifesaving Skills at NSAJ MD ⚓

On 18 September 2025, The Chief Nurse Navy COL REBECCA RANCHES NC(GSC) and her party conducted a staff visit to the NSAJ Medical Dispensary in a mission dedicated to readiness and care. As part of the visit, TCNN team conducted courtesy call to COMMODORE FRANCISCO C CACHO PN, the Deputy Commander for Fleet Operations, accompanied by LCDR REX RYAN DACLAN PN, CS NIF-W. The visit began with in-depth tours of the NSAJ MD facility, NDOB, and NSCC sickbays. During the memento presentation, The Chief Nurse Navy team made a lasting contribution with the donation of a state-of-the-art Basic Life Support (BLS) training mannequin, providing a valuable tool for continued lifesaving practice.

One of the most significant engagements followed on 19 September 2025, when COL RANCHES’ team—together with CPT RANEIL R MARIÑAS NC and HM3 Geraldyn Mae P Pulido PN, both trained BLS Facilitators—conducted intensive BLS training at the NSAJ Mess Hall. This hands-on training empowered 1 Officer, 24 sailors and 1 civilian personnel from NSAJ MD, WNC, and NIF-W with essential emergency-response skills.

This two-day engagement reflects the Navy’s unwavering commitment to medical readiness, inter-unit collaboration, and the continuous pursuit of excellence in emergency care.
