MAG-INGAT SA FLU (INFLUENZA)

Uso na naman ang flu o trangkaso! Ito ay impeksyong dulot ng influenza virus na mabilis makahawa sa pamamagitan ng ubo, bahing, at pakikisalamuha.

Mga karaniwang sintomas:
🤒 Lagnat • Ubo • Sipon • Sakit ng katawan o ulo • Panghihina

Paano iwasan:
💉 Magpabakuna laban sa flu
🤲 Ugaliing maghugas ng kamay
😷 Takpan ang bibig at ilong pag umuubo o bumabahing
🏠 Manatili sa bahay kung may sakit
🍎 Palakasin ang resistensya

Kung may mataas na lagnat o hirap sa paghinga, kumonsulta agad sa doktor.

💬 Protektahan ang sarili at pamilya laban sa flu!

🩺 Bakit pabalik-balik ang ubo at sipon ng mga bata?

Mga karaniwang sanhi:
1. 🦠 Madalas mahawa sa virus
– lalo na sa school o daycare.
2. 🤧 Allergy sa alikabok, pollen, o balahibo
– paulit-ulit ang sipon, lalo na sa umaga.
3. 🚬 Exposure sa usok o pollution
– nakakairita sa baga at ilong.
4. 😴 Mahinang resistensya
– kulang sa tulog, vitamins, o tamang pagkain.
5. 🌬️ Asthma o hypersensitive airways
– paulit-ulit na ubo lalo na sa gabi.
6. 👃 Malaking tonsils o adenoids
– baradong ilong, hilik, at pabalik-balik na sipon.

Payo ni Dok:
✔️ Iwasan ang usok at alikabok sa bahay
✔️ Palakasin ang resistensya sa tamang pagkain at tulog
✔️ Siguraduhing kumpleto at updated ang bakuna
✔️ Uminom ng tubig at iwasan ang sobrang lamig
✔️ Magpatingin sa pediatrician kung madalas bumalik ang sintomas

Tandaan: Hindi lahat ng paulit-ulit na ubo at sipon ay simpleng sipon lang. Minsan, kailangan na itong masuri ng doktor. 👩🏻‍⚕️

A gentle reminder for everyone. 🫶🏻

ONCE AND FOR ALL, LET’S PUT AN END TO THIS.

So this happened, a friend messaged me, if I could be of help to his friend. He forwarded the concern to me and I was shocked. (I am not the pediatrician of the baby btw.)

Let this be a gentle reminder that we doctors have our own clinic schedules. Meaning, all concerns should be addressed during the clinic hours. FACEBOOK PAGES AND MESSENGERS ARE NOT YOUR CONVENIENT EMERGENCY HOTLINES. If your doctor is not around, I’m sure there are other doctors who are. 🙂

My patients know that I reply to their concerns especially when I have seen the patients PERSONALLY at the clinics, or if I am waiting for additional laboratory results, mostly with no extra charge.

pages and messengers are not intended to replace face-to-face consults, or even be your last option when you choose to self medicate and consult tiktok.😒

Please do not normalize getting mad if you do not receive an immediate response from your doctors, without knowing that they are busy hospital - or clinic - hopping (kadalasan di lang po isang lugar iniikutan ng mga yan), while you are waiting with a cellphone on hand at the comfort of your home. 😔

A little appreciation goes a loooooong way especially when your doctor finds time to reply even to your simplest queries. 🙂🙏

Btw, advised him to bring the child to her pedia, because I’m sure it was not the pedia’s idea to give delight hihi😬✌️
