𝗭𝗣𝗠𝗖 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗘𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗦 𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗙𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗦 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗠𝗣 𝗦𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗣𝗨𝗗𝗗𝗜𝗡 𝗝𝗜𝗞𝗜𝗥𝗜

Access to comprehensive medical services just received a major boost for the Bangsamoro people thanks to a new partnership between the Office of MP Saripuddin D. Jikiri and the Zamboanga Peninsula Medical Center, Inc. (ZPMC). This collaboration is intended to provide crucial support for constituents seeking all kinds of medical care.

The initiative was formalized during a key meeting on November 06, 2025 at the Conference Room of the medical center. MP Jikiri’s office was strongly represented by Mr. Mandi Maadil and Ms. Nuraniza Muksan Jikiri, both Chiefs of Staff, demonstrating the legislative commitment to health equity.

Representing ZPMC were Ms. Glenda J. Acebuque, Head of Patient Accounts and Billing Services, Ms. Dillan Jane T. Tañeza, Social Worker II, and Ms. Michelle Grace D. Cañete, Head of Cashier. Their presence ensures that the institutional mechanisms, from billing to social work, are ready to efficiently process and deliver the much-needed financial aid, transforming political intent into tangible medical assistance for those who need it most.

Brent Hospital and Colleges, Inc. (BHCI) hosted a highly successful “Mi Sangre, Tu Vida" a Blood Letting Activity on October 30, 2025 at the BHCI Covered Court. The event, held in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross and Zamboanga Peninsula Medical Center, Inc. (ZPMC), saw a generous turnout dedicated to saving lives.

The bloodletting drive aimed to boost the local blood supply, which is critical for supporting patients undergoing emergency treatment, complex medical procedures, and those battling chronic conditions. This collaborative effort brought together students, faculty, staff, and community members, all united by a shared purpose: compassionately giving back.

BHCI extends its deepest gratitude to every donor who selflessly participated. Your commitment to giving the gift of life is invaluable and provides hope to countless individuals and families in the Zamboanga Peninsula region. Zamboanga Peninsula Medical Center, Inc. (ZPMC) successfully concluded its Family and Friends® CPR Course for Non-Medical Allied Staff on October 24, 2025. The all-day training, held at the Function Area on the 2nd Floor of Tower A, equipped attendees with vital, potentially life-saving CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) skills.

The intensive session, which ran from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, provided non-medical personnel with the foundational knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to respond effectively during a cardiac emergency. This valuable training reinforces the Medical Center's commitment to ensuring a safe environment by empowering every member of its team.

The course was expertly facilitated by our trainers, Mr. Severo Ruiz, RN, and Ms. Joveelyn Manansala. Participants engaged in active learning and practical scenarios, ensuring they left the day feeling confident in their ability to act quickly and decisively should an emergency arise.

We commend all the allied staff who dedicated their time to gaining this critical certification. Their commitment ensures that ZPMC is better prepared to handle emergencies, both inside and outside the facility.
