Healthforce Zamboanga Training Center successfully conducted its Family and Friends® CPR Training Course for the ZPMC staff on February 13, 2026. This comprehensive training session focused on equipping participants with essential Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) skills, ensuring that every team member is prepared to act when seconds count.

The intensive course combined foundational theory with immersive hands-on practice. By simulating real-world cardiac emergencies, participants gained the confidence and technical proficiency needed to provide immediate assistance, reinforcing the organization's dedication to community safety and professional excellence.

The session was expertly led by Senior Instructor Severo Jose J. Ruiz, RN, and Junior Instructor Maria Wenda Rojas-Ruiz, RN. The smooth ex*****on of the program was further supported by Training Site Admin Officer Ma. Carmela Faye Arcenal and Training Site Admin Assistant Shelyjane Montibon.

We salute all the participants for their active engagement and commitment to safety.

To further strengthen emergency response capabilities, medical staff and nurses from Zamboanga Peninsula Medical Center, Inc. (ZPMC) underwent a rigorous two-day Basic Life Support (BLS) Training on February 11–12, 2026.

The intensive sessions were held at the Activity Area, 2nd Floor of ZPMC Tower A. The two-day BLS training was conducted by EMT trainers from DOH Labuan General Hospital: Bernardo D. Orpiano V., RN, MAN, MMHA, EMT; Allinmar B. Morgia, RN, EMT; Ronaleen Kyla E. Selarta, RN; Michael S. Sabtal, RN, EMT; and Raymark F. Bucoy, RN, CHRRMO.

The participation of ZPMC personnel highlights the institution's ongoing commitment to clinical excellence. By mastering these protocols under the supervision of such highly qualified emergency medical technicians and nurses, the attendees are now better equipped to manage cardiac arrests and other life-threatening emergencies.

The spirit of the Lunar New Year filled the air at Zamboanga Peninsula Medical Center, Inc. (ZPMC) today, February 16, 2026, as the institution hosted a traditional celebration to usher in prosperity and good health.

The highlight of the event was a high-energy performance by the Southern Lion and Dragon Dance Troupe. Patients, staff, and visitors gathered as the "Lucky Dragons" weaved through the hospital corridors, accompanied by the rhythmic beat of drums and cymbals.

ZPMC management expresses its gratitude to the performers, noting that the "Year of the Horse" brings a spirit of energy, rapid progress and qualities they aim to embody in their service to the region this year.
