When learning to write, the initial process can be slow and deliberate, requiring focused attention on each letter and word. However, through consistent repetition, the hand becomes accustomed to the movements and patterns involved in writing. Over time, these actions become more automatic, allowing for faster and more effortless expression of thoughts on paper. This principle applies not only to writing but also to other skills that require manual dexterity and coordination.

When this system is off-balance, kids might seem extra wild (think crashing, chewing, jumping) or unusually tired and withdrawn. 😴💥

The good news? “Heavy work” activities like lifting, pushing, pulling, and jumping can help them feel more grounded, focused, and calm. 💪🎯
