📢 Health Surveillance and Epidemiology Unit Health Advisory

National Adolescent Immunization Month

The Health Surveillance and Epidemiology Unit (HSEU) enjoins all military personnel and their dependents to take part in the observance of National Adolescent Immunization Month this August.

💉 Why adolescent immunization matters:
Protects teens from vaccine-preventable diseases such as measles, tetanus, diphtheria, hepatitis B, and HPV.

Provides a chance to catch up on missed childhood vaccines.

Reinforces immunity as earlier vaccines wane over time.

Safeguards the health of our military families and strengthens force readiness.

✅ Action:
Military dependents may avail adolescent vaccines through the Pediatric Clinic at Victoriano Luna General Hospital (VLGH).

We also encourage families to seek vaccination services at their Local Health Centers and facilities near their homes.

Ang Health Surveillance and Epidemiology Unit at Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Center ay nagbibigay PAALALA ngayong sunod-sunod na pag-ulan at baha nitong mga nakaraang araw o linggo.

I-monitor ang sarili at bantayan ang mga sintomas ng LEPTOSPIROSIS.

Dahil sa sunod-sunod na pag-ulan at pagbaha, dulot nito ang panganib sa kalusugan. Kapag ang ihi at dumi ng mga hayop tulad ng daga ay nahalo sa tubig baha, dito nagsisimula ang panganib ng pagkakaroon ng leptospirosis lalo na kapag pumasok sa katawan ng tao sa pamamagitan ng sugat sa balat, mga mata, ilong at bibig

Bantayan ang mga sintomas ng leptospirosis kung ikaw ay lumusong o na-expose sa baha o kontaminadong tubig nitong mga nagdaang araw o linggo.

The Department of Pediatrics, Victoriano Luna Medical Center will be having its School Readiness Program – a comprehensive and holistic approach to helping your child thrive in school. This program offers a complete physical examination, free immunization, dental check-ups, and nutritional counseling for pediatric patients from our team of highly skilled Doctors from the following Services: Department of Pediatrics, Orthopedics and Traumatology, Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Ophthalmology, Dietary Service, and Dental Service.

This program will cater to both the military and civilian employee dependents ages 3 to 12 yrs old on 5 June 2025 at the Emilio Aguinaldo Elementary School and 13 June at VKL Auditorium

🗓️ Simula April 24 hanggang April 30, magkakaroon ng malawakang bakunahan sa Bicol, Samar, Davao at sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa.

Pangugunahan ng DOH ang pagbabakuna sa mga sanggol, kabataan, buntis, at senior citizen ngayong World Immunization Week.

📍Kasama ang buong pamilya, magtungo sa pinakamalapit na health center para malaman ang bakuna para sa bawat isa. Magpabakuna dahil ang pag-iwas sa sakit ay kayang-kaya ng buong pamilya!

Umakyat na sa 268 ang kaso ng Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) sa Quezon City ngayong 2025 simula January 1 - March 18, 2025. Ang pagiging maingat at malinis sa pang-araw-araw na gawain ay makakatulong upang maprotektahan ang sarili at ang pamilya laban sa HFMD.

Mahalaga ang pagpapanatili ng kalinisan at tamang hygiene gaya ng paghuhugas ng kamay:

✅ Pagkatapos gumamit ng palikuran o banyo
✅ Bago at pagkatapos kumain
✅ Pagkatpos umubo, bumahing at suminga
✅ Pagkagaling sa labas o pagkatapos maglaro.
