Coping refers to conscious strategies used to reduce unpleasant emotions such as anxiety and depression. Coping strategies can be cognitions or behaviours and can be individual or social.

Here are some ways for you to cope with anxiety:

1. Give in occasionally. It is good to be independent and strong minded, but there are times when giving in is necessary. It is important to acknowledge your feelings and let it out sometimes.

2. Practice meditation. Meditation is a way of training your mind to slow down racing thoughts, let go pf negativity, and calm both your mind and body by sitting quietly and focusing on your breathing.

3. Ask someone you trust for company. If you think that being alone makes you more vulnerable, ask someone you trust who can accompany you. Acknowledging that you are vulnerable can be necessary in avoiding risks of you building more walls around people who can possibly help you instead.

4. Have a healthy lifestyle. Workout a bit and eat healthy stuff, maybe this way you can slowly conquer your anxiety.

5. Articulate. Talk to a trusted person about your arising issue. The earlier you have someone who you can talk it over makes it easier for you to process.

Anxiety is a normal response to stress and potential danger. though it is normal at times, there are some cases where anxiety can get serious. there are different types of anxiety.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder → You feel excessive, unrealistic worry and tension with little or no reason.

Panic Disorder → You feel sudden, intense fear that brings on a panic attack.

Social Anxiety disorder → Also called social phobia, this is often caused by self-consciousness about everyday social situations.

Depression is a condition in which a person experiences persistent feelings of discouragement, sadness, hopelessness, indifference to life in general, or unmotivation when those feelings affect their ability to carry out daily tasks. Also called major depressive disorder or clinical depression, it affects how you feel, think and behave and can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems.
