FDMMC - Department of Pediatrics "Legacy of Caring" These residents came back as experts in their own fields establishing the various subspecialty clinics of the institution.

Fe del Mundo Medical Center formerly known as the Children’s Medical Center has now reached its 54th year of existence constantly adhering to the vision of providing a “hospital devoted to the health and welfare of children”. From a “Little Clinic” where a number of pioneer pediatricians have been locally trained, has emerged into a tertiary
hospital continuously committed to training young physicians aspiring to become pediatricians. Year after year new staff members trained in the different subspecialties found their way to the institution to add vigor to the training program and provision of pediatric care to our loyal patients. Through various scholarship grants, Dr. Fe del Mundo sent her own residents to different parts of the world for training in subspecialties like neonatology, neurology, allergy, endocrinology, nephrology and infectious diseases. Dr. Del Mundo’s vision went beyond the hospital setting and set forth for various arms of patient care, such as Preventive Medicine which was coursed through the Institute of Maternal and Child Health and Community Pediatrics has focused on delivering a package of essential services to the urban and rural poor areas
channeled through social arm and research the Institute of Community and Family Health.

During the PPS HAB Summit held on April 6, 2025, our residency training program received the Level II Accreditation Certificate from the PPS HAB (Philippine Pediatric Society - Hospital Accreditation Board).
