🔍 𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗚𝗡𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗦: 𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗣𝗬
Endoscopy is one of the most important tools for diagnosing 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 (𝗜𝗕𝗗). By using a small camera attached to a flexible tube, doctors can directly visualize the GI tract and look for signs of:

✔️ Inflammation
✔️ Ulcers or abnormal tissue
✔️ Disease severity
✔️ Areas needing biopsy

🩺 𝗧𝘆𝗽𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆 𝗨𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗕𝗗:
• 𝗘𝗚𝗗 / 𝗚𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆– Examines the esophagus, stomach, and upper small intestine
• 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆 – Visualizes the entire colon and terminal ileum
• 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗺𝗼𝗶𝗱𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆 – Focuses on the re**um and sigmoid colon

🧬 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿
During the procedure, the doctor may take small tissue samples. These 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝗲𝘀 are examined in the laboratory to confirm diagnosis and distinguish between 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝗵𝗻’𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 and 𝗨𝗹𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀.

Early diagnosis leads to earlier treatment — helping prevent complications and improve quality of life.

🩺 𝗜𝗕𝗗 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁.
Inflammatory Bowel Disease can cause symptoms in the colon and re**um, and long-term inflammation may impact other parts of the body as well.

Early evaluation and proper treatment can help manage symptoms and prevent complications.
If you experience these signs, consult a specialist at 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿.

While anyone can be affected, certain factors may increase the risk:

IBD can be challenging, but awareness leads to earlier evaluation and treatment. If you’re concerned about symptoms or risk, our team at 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 is here to help.

🧩 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗕𝗗?
While the exact cause isn’t fully understood, research shows that a combination of factors may contribute to its development:

🟢 Immune System — the body may mistakenly attack healthy digestive tract cells
🧬 Genetics — certain inherited traits can increase risk
🌍 Environmental Triggers — diet, lifestyle, gut bacteria, stress, and other external factors may influence inflammation

IBD isn’t “just stomach trouble” — it’s a complex condition involving the body’s immune and genetic systems.

If you’re experiencing ongoing digestive symptoms, don’t self-diagnose. Our specialists at 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 can help find answers and guide you toward care.

🧠 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄? Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis are the two main types of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
Both involve chronic inflammation of the digestive tract—but they affect the body differently.

🔴 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝗵𝗻’𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 – can affect any part of the GI tract.
🔴 𝗨𝗹𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀– affects only the colon and involves inflammation of the inner lining.

Consult with our gastro specialists at 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 for proper evaluation and care.
