Tuberculosis is not only a health issue—it is a population, health, and environment concern that demands urgent action.

The Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc. (PTSI) joined the 10th National Population, Health, and Environment (PHE) Conference held on October 9–10, 2025 at the Heritage Hotel, Manila, with the theme “Equity and Sustainability in Focus: 20 Years of Transformative PHE.”

While we celebrate the incredible strides in health, environment, and population adaptation to climate change, we also observe that TB often remains in the shadows. Yet, those battling TB and their families deserve the same unwavering attention within the broader climate change discourse.

This is why, the Philippine Tuberculosis Society Inc (PTSI) is committed to action! Our Stakehokders Engagement Department and Health Research and Training Department will collaborate to ensure that the TB elimination agenda is firmly integrated into pathways for resilient people and livelihood, a resilient environment, and a resilient business and economy. After all, TB elimination extends far beyond clinical management.

Ang aming PTSI-Albay Chest Clinic & Dispensary team ay nasa Albay Astrodome Entrance upang magbigay ng libreng chest x-ray!🩻

Ito ay kabahagi ng aming “Screen all for TB” initiative, kung saan layon nitong matukoy ang mga undiagnosed TB cases sa pamamagitan ng malawakang case finding activities at pag gamit ng makabagong teknolohiya upang agarang matukoy ang TB-positive cases.

(Legazpi City, October 13, 2025) Kasalukuyang isinasagawa ngayong araw ang libreng x-ray screening para sa mga kawani ng kapitolyo, na handog ng Albay Chest Clinic and Dispensary, sa pakikipagtulungan sa Albay Provincial Health Office (APHO).

Bukod sa mismong diagnostic test, kabilang rin sa mga iaalok na serbisyo ang libreng sputum testing, konsultasyon, at gamot sa tuberculosis (TB) kung kakailanganin.

Layunin ng dalawang araw na free x-ray screening, na nagsimula alas-9 ng umaga, na isulong ang kahalagahan ng kalusugan ng mga empleyado ng Pamahalaang Lokal ng Albay.

Ang naturang serbisyong-medikal ay bahagi rin ng patuloy na pagsusumikap ng Philippine Tuberculosis Society Inc. (PTBSI) katuwang APHO na magkaroon ng early detection, at gamutan sa sakit na TB hindi lamang sa mga komunidad kundi maging sa mga opisina ng gobyerno.
