We have successfully concluded the 2024 Residentsโ Research Paper Contest, and what an inspiring event it has been!
Our finalists showcased their incredible research efforts, each contributing to the advancement of womenโs health through their in-depth studies on critical topics in obstetrics and gynecology.

Your hard work, dedication, and insightful research have not only added to the body of knowledge in reproductive infectious diseases but also set a high standard for future research in our field. We commend your efforts and are confident that your work will make a lasting impact on the care of womenโs health in the years to come.
We also extend our sincerest appreciation to the panel of judges (Drs Faye Cagayan, Ina Irabon, and Helen Madamba) who took the time to meticulously evaluate the research and provide thoughtful feedback. Your guidance has been instrumental in ensuring the continued growth of research excellence among our residents and fellows.
A special thank you to the organizing committee headed by Dr Roj Sahagun and ably assisted by Dr Fatemeh Motavalli (host) and the UP-PGH OB-IDS fellows, for ensuring that this event ran smoothly and efficiently, as well as the institutions that supported our finalists in their research journeys.
The mentorship and encouragement provided by these institutions are key to nurturing the next generation of leaders in obstetrics and gynecology.
