𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗳, 𝗖𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲, 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘀

With the theme, "Research that Matters: Achieving Goals of the 8-Point Action Agenda", the DOH CHD CaLaBaRZon, through the Research and Innovation Development Unit (RIDU) and in partnership with the Health Research and Development Consortium CaLaBaRZon (HRDCC) and the Department of Science and Technology Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD), conducted the 7th Regional Health Research Forum last September 11-12, 2025 at They Bayleaf Cavite, General Trias City.

The forum served as a platform for various stakeholders in health research within the CaLaBaRZon region to connect, share best practices, and exchange information on healthcare research and innovations.

Notable attendees included Dr. Voltaire S. Guadalupe, OIC-Assistant Regional Director of the DOH CHD CaLaBaRZon, and Ms. Paola Jane De Leon, Senior Science Research Specialist at DOST-PCHRD. The event also featured students, faculty members, presenters, reactors, and judges from the DOH offices and various partner institutions:

Finalists from both the Student and Professional Categories gathered to compete in the Poster Competition, showcasing their research expertise. Student Oral Presenters demonstrated how their work could make a meaningful impact on the community.

By enhancing our health research through evidence-based approaches, we can bridge the gaps in our healthcare system and elevate the health of Filipinos. This aligns with the goals of the 8-Point Action Agenda and the National Unified Health Research Agenda (NUHRA), striving to improve health outcomes, strengthen health systems, and ensure access to care for all.

The Universal Health Care - Health Services Cluster Technical Office visited 𝗗𝗢𝗛 𝗖𝗛𝗗 𝗖𝗮𝗟𝗮𝗕𝗮𝗥𝗭𝗼𝗻, together with the CHD 4A’s Management Committee, Cluster Heads, Provincial/City Health Team Leaders, Development Management Officers, Program Managers, Unit/Section Heads, and staff.

The field visit served as an opportunity to align key strategies and share innovative technical assistance within the CHD. The activity also highlighted CHD 4A’s strategic focus and contribution indicators, Organizational Development Plan, and its accomplishments and best practices that contribute to the UHC 8-Point Action Agenda.

Together, we collaborate and strengthen our commitment to advancing 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 — ensuring that every initiative brings us closer to a healthier CaLaBaRZon.

NEWBORN SCREENING, HEALTH COMMODITIES, PAGBABAKUNA, HANDOG NG PANGULO SA HIGIT 13,000 PILIPINO SA LUZON

Ngayong araw, Handog ng Pangulo sa lahat ng rehiyon sa Luzon ang iba’t ibang outpatient at screening services gaya ng:

✅Newborn Screening;
✅School-based Immunization;
✅Pamamahagi ng health commodities;
✅Active Case Finding ng Tuberculosis;
✅Mobile X-ray;
✅Konsultasyon; at
✅Iba pang serbisyong medikal

Ang mga serbisyong ito ay alinsunod sa layunin ng Pangulong B**g B**g Marcos Jr. na ilapit ang libre at dekalidad na serbisyong medikal hindi lamang sa mga ospital kundi pati sa komunidad.

The DOH CaLaBaRZon continues its commitment to quarterly participation in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) aimed at strengthening the preparedness and response of its personnel during unforeseen incidents.

On September 11, 2025, the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Health (RDRRM-H) conducted an online orientation on earthquake preparedness measures and response protocols as part of the 3rd Quarter NSED.

The activity focused on reinforcing workplace safety and disaster readiness by simulating essential earthquake response measures. It emphasized alert systems, proper evacuation procedures, safe assembly points, structural inspections, and inter-agency coordination.

Through these efforts, DOH CaLaBaRZon strengthens its culture of safety and resilience in the workplace.
