Traumatology Institute and Psychological Services, Philippines (TIPS) is an accredited training site of the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology, VA, USA (GCAT) in the Philippines. GCAT is an international, non-profit organization established in 1997 to provide humanitarian assistance and professional training in traumatology. For those interested in becoming a certified traumatologist that is recognized in the United States or be involved with GCAT, TIPS now offer various levels of trainings that is acknowledged by GCAT. You can attend ANY trainings or complete the trainings/workshop at TIPS before applying for the GCAT membership (Level 1). According to GCAT, anyone is welcome to take the training/ workshops at every level. YET certifying as Clinical Traumatologist above is mostly reserved for those in the clinical mental health field with license, education, and work in psychology, counseling, or related background. TIPS is accredited to facilitate the training/workshop of GCAT, but only Green Cross Academy of Traumatology, VA, USA has the authority to give the TRAUMATOLOGIST CERTIFICATIONS. See less
