Here are the guidelines for the 2026 Gawad PVMA for Exemplary Chapters, Affiliates, Cooperating Organizations, and Collegial Bodies:
The GAWAD PVMA shall be conferred on four (4) organizations—one (1) PVMA Chapter, one (1) Affiliate, one (1) Collegial body and one (1) Cooperating Organization—in recognition of their exceptional commitment, outstanding efforts, and invaluable support in advancing the vision, mission, and strategic goals of the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA). Through their sustained partnership, these organizations have significantly contributed to elevating the standards of the veterinary profession and enhancing its service to society.
This recognition does not carry a cash prize. However, each GAWAD PVMA awardee shall receive, during the PVMA Annual Convention, a Certificate of Excellence and a support grant, the amount of which shall be determined by the PVMA National Board, to be used for the implementation of a development project of the awarded Chapter, Affiliate, Collegial body or Cooperating Organization.
A development project shall be identified and proposed by the awardee, subject to the concurrence of the PVMA National Board, and shall be jointly undertaken and implemented within one (1) year following the conferment of the award.
> Who is eligible for the Award?
To be considered for nomination, the chapter / affiliate / cooperating organization should meet the following minimum requirements:
1. Has been recognized / re-affirmed by the PVMA national board before February 2023.
2. Maintains active roster of membership and sound organizational management.
3. With updated Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registration and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) certification.
4. With Audited Annual Financial Reports (past three years only).
5. Should be of good standing having regularly attended the House of Delegates meeting.
6. The President should not be a member of the current PVMA Board.
> What documents should be submitted?
Documentations on activities to be considered are those accomplished within the last three years prior to the nomination date. The portfolio should be sent to the PVMA National Secretariat at least two (2) weeks before the annual National Convention.
The following documents must be organized in a clear book in the following order:
a) Officers and directory listing of members (EXCELformat) containing the following details: Position in the Organization, Name, PRC Number, PRC Expiry date, Job Position and Office Address, Email address, Contact Numbers, Year Graduated in the DVM Course, School Graduated.
b) Regular activities promoting unity and professionalism among members including meetings, teambuilding, socials, etc.
c) CPD activities (not necessarily PRC-accredited) showing the program, photos with captions and list of participants.
d) Support to PVMA activities including submission of regular reports, participation to HOD Assemblies, attendance of members to PVMA National Convention, etc.
e) Organization Development Plan (short term and long term) highlighting suggested partnership project with PVMA national.
f) A letter of consent allowing the PVMA to use and distribute submitted materials (except sensitive documents) for future nominations to the Outstanding Accredited Professional Organization of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

Awarding will be held during the 93rd PVMA Scientific Conference and Annual Convention in Iloilo City.
