PVMA Welcomes 55 Newly-Licensed Veterinarians in Online Oath-Taking Ceremony

The Philippine Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA) formally welcomed 55 newly-licensed veterinarians as members during an online oath-taking ceremony held on January 27, 2026.
The oath was administered by Dr. Lina S. Policarpio, PVMA Vice-President and President-Elect, marking the new members’ official entry into the national professional organization. In her message, Dr. Policarpio emphasized the importance of professional integrity, ethical practice, and service to the public, encouraging the inductees to actively participate in PVMA initiatives and contribute to the advancement of veterinary medicine.
The ceremony was witnessed by the leadership of the Professional Regulatory Board for Veterinary Medicine (PRBVM), led by its Chair, Dr. Claro N. Mingala, along with board members Dr. Tomas Acorda and Dr. Agnes Teodora A. Baylon. Their presence highlighted the strong collaboration between the regulatory board and the professional association in advancing veterinary practice in the country. Also in attendance were other PVMA officers, including Dr. Voltaire Basinang, Dr. Russell Tianzon, and Dr. Virginia M. Venturina, who joined the program in support of the new members.
The successful online oath-taking reflected PVMA’s adaptability and continued dedication to welcoming new professionals into its ranks, as the association looks forward to the meaningful contributions of its newest members to animal health, public health, and the veterinary profession.
