PVMA Vice-President and President-Elect Dr. Lina S. Policarpio represented the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association at the Asian Animal Health Association Working Luncheon, joining leaders from the Philippine Association of Pharmacists in the Veterinary Industry, the Philippine Veterinary Drug and Nutrition Association - PVDNA, the PAHA - Philippine Animal Hospital Association, Inc., and the Philippine College of Swine Practitioners.
Together, the group reaffirmed its commitment to stronger collaboration and policy alignment with the Department of Agriculture–Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) to support the veterinary and animal health sector.
Discussions focused on partnership opportunities, especially as AAHA, PVMA, and industry stakeholders work to contribute during the transition of regulatory functions from Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to BAI.
The shared goal: to streamline the transition and ensure timely access to essential medications, nutritional products, and innovations for pets, livestock, and poultry.
United, we move toward a progressive, responsive, and future-ready animal health industry—advocating for both animal welfare and public health.
