You look toward the horizon as the sky blooms with flowers made of light. Each explosion of color beats in time with your heart. Now far from the shores of an island you once called home, which slowly became confines of comfort, your mind fills with siren thoughts that lured you to the ledge of your boat. You waver as your body itches to go back to what you've always known.
Staring down at the dark waters that reflected the shine of ancient stars and galaxies, you saw a familiar face looking back at you. Before you was someone who held the same confusion and the same burdens.
"Who do you want to become?" you quietly asked the reflection as it rippled with each wave. It did not reply, but somehow an answer was still there.
Pushing yourself away from the ledge, you made your way to the boat's steering wheel with a newfound resolution. Though you've yet to decipher what fate has in store in this grand adventure, today you're looking at the compass and aligning yourself to the Northern Star.
