As we commemorate 127 years of Philippine independence, we are reminded that true freedom is not just political. It is also psychological.

It is the courage to think critically, to teach with integrity, and to nurture minds that question, analyze, and seek truth.

At a time when our nation stands at a serious political crossroads, we, as psychology teachers, are uniquely positioned to make a difference.

Let us empower our students to understand the deeper dynamics of leadership, power, accountability, and civic responsibility. Let us challenge them to explore how cognitive biases, groupthink, and authoritarian tendencies shape our national consciousness and decision-making.

This June 12, may we uphold our calling not just as educators, but as stewards of a free and thoughtful citizenry.

As psychology teachers, we shape critical thinking, compassion, and ethical awareness in our classrooms.

This Motherโ€™s Day, we celebrate those who taught us care and resilience. As we head to the polls tomorrow, letโ€™s carry these lessons forwardโ€”choosing leaders who uphold truth, mental health, and inclusive education.
