Founder of the FIRST ORGANIZED OSTEOPATHIC TRAINING IN THE PHILIPPINES
Leomil Adriano, is a physical therapist, osteopath and acupuncturist practicing in the Philippines. He finished both bachelors and masters degree from the University of Santo Tomas. Being more in sports and musculoskeletal dysfunctions, he move further with his training in Osteopathy and acupuncture. He also travels to other countries in order to learn other manual therapy concepts. Believing that the Filipinos healthcare practitioners should be given the chance to learn more and improve their practices, he started SOMATIC Therasystem Association which aims to teach different manual therapy techniques and concepts in a more cost effective manner. One in Ortigas (Fremont Clinic)where he works with a temporomandibular joint dentist on patients with craniomandibular region dysfunctions (TMJ, head, neck and vertigo). Another clinic in West Ave (Health Manifest Center) where he manage "last resort" patients hoping that they will no longer need to go through surgeries. He is also a faculty member of the University of Santo Tomas Graduate School teaching Clinical Reasoning and Orthopedics Subjects. He is the Asian coordinator and faculty member for Osteopathic College of Ontario where he finished his Diplomate in Osteopathic Manipulative Theories and Practice (DO-MTP). He is also the Philippine coordinator and instructor for Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation of Robbie Goodrum Seminars. He believes the success of a practice is through hands on integrative manual therapies, clinical reasoning and working with other professionals. According to Leomil;
In recuperation and therapy, I believe only two things: the manual therapy that bring the change and, the functional exercises that maintain the change. And, once a therapist understands these, then he is more than equipped to bring back health.
