A true embodiment of grace, intellect, passion, and determination, Dra. Clemente lived a life that broke barriers and inspired generations. Her unwavering dedication, discipline, and vision laid the foundation for what Capitol Medical Center (CMC) stands for now.

A trailblazer in medicine, Dra. Clemente graduated at the top of her class from the University of the Philippines Manila in 1945. In 1970, she founded Capitol Medical Center—transforming it from a single-building institution into one of the country’s premier medical centers.

More than a remarkable leader, she was a woman of integrity and compassion—a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a generous soul whose legacy continues to guide and inspire the Capitol community.
