This week, as we continue the celebration of Women’s Month on Wellness Wednesdays, we highlight empowered voices through resilience and transformation, how women rise above challenges and turn prejudice into strength, growth, and meaningful change.

Join us as we explore how women’s voices become powerful, transformative forces: challenging biases, uplifting communities, and promoting mental well-being.

We are joined by our featured guest, Aina B. Martin, who will guide us through conversations on resilience, empowerment, and creating change through voice and action.

The Brief Psychological Services (BPS) of the Ateneo Bulatao Center, under the Psychology Department, continues to provide free online counseling to Filipino adults in need. From August to December 2025, BPS supported 474 Filipinos through 712 completed counseling sessions, delivered by 13 psychologists-in-training under supervision. Most individuals who reached out during this run were seeking professional help for the first time.

Through the Lights of Hope 2025 holiday campaign, 35 sessions were sponsored by community donors. As we continue Run 11 (January–May 2026), BPS remains a free service sustained by those who believe access to mental health support matters.

About Ateneo Psyche

With its members coming from various disciplines, Ateneo Psyche is the premier psychology organization of Ateneo de Manila University. It is founded on the collective purpose of communicating psychological knowledge, advocating for mental health, and developing a community that places primary concern on the well-being of the human psyche.

In sharing relevant information about psychology, Ateneo Psyche hopes to give insight into the value of such knowledge, specifically in its application for the benefit of society. Its advocacy of mental health aims to prevent stigma from interfering with mental health care by clarifying the reality of mental disorders, especially in the national context.

In a community where people come first, members of the organization are encouraged to contribute to the development of psychology, of the self, and of the Filipino nation. Projects and other efforts of Ateneo Psyche include seminar-workshops by professionals of psychology, visits to the National Center for Mental Health, publications for Psyche Today, and promotions for Mental Health Awareness Week among many more initiatives.

Ateneo Psyche. Where people come first.
