TOPNOTCH MOONLIGHTING AND PRE-RESIDENCY SEMINAR ANNOUNCEMENT #1
October 17, 2025

DEAR NEWLY-LICENSED MDs (Topnotch Friends, and all licensed MDs):

We would like to invite everyone to the Topnotch Moonlighting and Pre-Residency Seminar. Everything that wasn’t taught in med school, but you actually need for “real life” will be taught here - including how to handle your finances, obtain government mandated requirements (philhealth, SSS, etc), and plan your career (from moonlighting to residency, from DTTB to foreign exams like the USMLE, to non-traditional career paths like Alternative Med and Aesthetics).

Topnotch Moonlighting and Pre-Residency Seminar Registration Form:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeeq_mz2agmjJzLb5RqYe_y3u9mPWdxRCqbbAFoQSFGHwFRGA/viewform?pli=1

You will learn how to manage IM, Pedia, Surgery, OB and Emergency cases that moonlighters often see. Your skills will be sharpened in suturing, splinting, ECG and lab interpretation.

You would have an opportunity to do a proper intubation onsite under the guidance of an anesthesiologist.

Panel discussions by specialists (IM, OB, Pedia, Surg) and various types of moonlighters (urban, rural, etc.) would give you a glimpse on these career options.

You would have the opportunity to ask questions from these specialists, in preparation for moonlighting and residency.

Certificate of Attendance is provided to help prop up your CV.

This seminar would be conducted from October 24, 2025 - November 9, 2025 (with breaks and free/rest days) using pre-recorded videos shown via Zoom (with some of the teachers being made available synchronously for your questions and for feedback). Clinical Lectures will then be uploaded to the Topnotch Portal for asynchronous viewing. Non-clinical lectures (career talk lectures) will be purely synchronous and not uploaded anymore at the Topnotch Portal. The clinical and non-clinical lectures are indicated in the registration googleform.

There will also be two onsite (face-to-face) shops: 1.) intubation workshop 2.) suturing workshop for all those available to go to our Fairview site (pre-registration required)

Program fee is 4,500 pesos.

To register for the Topnotch Moonlight and Pre-Residency Seminar, fill out the Topnotch moonlighting and preresidency seminar registration Googleformform.

A Certificate of Attendance would be given to the participants after the program that you can place in your CVs and utilize in your application for moonlighting stints.

For security reasons, transact only with moonlightingseminar.topnotch@gmail.com or moonlightingseminar2.topnotch@gmail.com

There is no deadline for enrolment. You can enrol at any time. However, we advise you to enrol as soon as possible if you want to join since most of the sessions are synchronous. We have also made the first few days of the seminar “light” so that those who still wish to join will not miss much and for late enrollees to catch up. Topnotch Moonlighting and Pre-Residency seminar is open to all licensed MDs.

Detailed schedule of the seminar (per day basis) will be posted at the Topnotch page October 20, 2025 so you can make your plans.

Join the Topnotch Moonlighting and Pre-Residency Seminar. It would simply make you a better doctor. See you soon!

11 out of 12 Top Ten placers for October 2025 came from the Topnotch Program. 313 Board Exam Topnotchers in our history so far. Congratulations! :)

17/10/2025

POST-OCT 2025 MED BOARDS ANNOUNCEMENT:

DEAR TOPNOTCH FRIENDS (OCTOBER 2025 BATCH):

The Med Board Results have been released last night. I am proud of all of you, whether you have passed the exam or not, and we have plans to help you whichever the outcome is.

Congratulations to the Topnotch Doctors who have placed in the Top Ten of the October 2025 Med Boards. 11 out of the 12 Top Ten placers came from the Topnotch Medical Board Prep October 2025 Program:

TOP 1: Kharam Baricaua Molbog (UST)
TOP 2: Eris Orlan Sto.Domingo Muñoz (UERM)
TOP 3: Charles Jerome Reyes Bartolo (UPCM)
TOP 4: Jorel Franco Antone Navotas Tangpuz (CIM)
TOP 5: Zairah de Leon Monjardin (FEU)
TOP 5: Beatrice Hope Go Reyes (St.Luke’s)
TOP 6: Nathan Ross Baoy Bantayan (UPCM)
TOP 7: Judah Elijah Manticahon Cagas (WVSU)
TOP 7: Johann Vincent Gan Lam (ASMPH)
TOP 8: Abigail Christine Dayata Sim (CIM)
TOP 10: Jarvin Vincent Chua Lumauig (UERM)

You are tremendously blessed. Pay it forward and be honest and kind doctors. I’ve always stated even before that topping the med boards has more to do with individual effort and discipline plus the impact of your medical school, pero nakakaproud pa rin na mabigyan ng opportunity na maturuan kayo.

For everyone outside of the Top Ten, pareho lang ang feelings sa mga nag-top. 🙂 Bida kayo sa bahay for the next few weeks. Your phones have probably been flooded by congratulatory messages and calls from family, friends and classmates right now. You’ve made your family, school and all your teachers, MGs, and mentors here in Topnotch very proud. And very happy. Savor this moment of success - and remember it often if and when the struggles come in the future.

You will now start with a blank canvas - a reboot of your medical career. Do what truly makes you happy as a doctor and as an adult. Everyone else (family, friends, classmates) will have plans and “suggestions” for your medical career - to hell with them. Again, do what truly makes you happy. Rock and Roll. 🙂

The Topnotch Moonlighting and Pre-Residency Seminar would be October 24 - November 9, 2025 (there would be plenty of rest days of course) - will have a separate FB post for this. Enrol in this moonlighting and pre-residency seminar - it’s going to make you a better doctor, and jumpstart your adulting journey. Everything that wasn’t taught in medschool that you will need sa tunay na buhay - we will teach you in that seminar. There would also be two onsite face-to-face workshops (which is optional and has online equivalents) - one for intubation and the other for suturing. Attend that if possible here in Metro Manila.

We will post the final complete schedule of that seminar by October 20, 2025 Monday. The infographic and googleform link for enrolment to the seminar is provided in a separate FB post.

And the most important students in Topnotch right now - for those whose success have been delayed - Keep your chin up. Take a vacation until December 1, 2025 - do something non-medically related. Turn off social media for a while. Inform your friends and family how you want to be treated during this time.

If you do decide to re-enrol with us for the April 2026 batch, enrolment (along with its googleform release) would be October 19, 2025 8pm here at the Topnotch FB page. Program would still be a hybrid model (with around 120 hours of onsite face-to-face sessions that also has online equivalents). Topnotch classes would begin on December 1, 2025 and end on the last day of the med boards in April 2026. I promise that the program would be even better for your batch, and further improvements would be made. We recommend that you take advantage of the Topnotch onsite classes for April 2026 Batch. More than anyone else, The Topnotch Program has always been designed for struggling students. Mentors and MGs are waiting if you want counselling.

The work is not yet done. Malayo pa, pero malayo na.

Thank you so much everyone. Thank you to our Topnotch Teachers who have brought their A-game with them this batch, our Topnotch MGs who have served as second parents to our students, our Mentors who have served as Kuyas and Ates to our doctors, our Topnotch support staff, and all our Topnotch Alumni.

To All our Students - our reason for being - You have Burned your Ships, You have Conquered the World.

I am Proud of all of you.

Congratulations, Doctor!

Your Peer,
Enrico Paolo C. Banzuela, MD
and the Entire Topnotch Family
