On Sunday, November 16, 2025, the Philippine Academy of Acupuncture, Inc. (PAAI) took part in the PhilHealth Family Fun Run at the Marikina Sports Complex, upon the invitation of the Philippine Institute of Traditional and Alternative Health Care (PITAHC). PAAI offered free acupuncture consultations, ventosa therapy, and tui-na massage to event participants.
The event was organized by the PhilHealth Regional Office NCR and Rizal, in partnership with the Marikina Local Government Unit. This initiative supports PhilHealth’s advocacy to promote an active lifestyle and preventive healthcare among Filipino families.
PAAI’s participation was instrumental in showcasing evidence-based Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Medicine (TCIM) practices and in reinforcing PITAHC’s commitment to promoting inclusive and accessible health services for the public.
