In Celebration of Lung Month this August 2025! 💙 Breathe better by learning basic chest physiotherapy techniques with us! Follow for more lung care tips!

The Active Cycle of Breathing Technique (ACBT) helps clear your lungs and can make breathing easier.

Follow these steps:
1. Relaxed Breathing - Take calm, gentle breaths.
2. Deep Breaths - Breathe in deeply to open up your lungs.
3. Huffing - Breathe out with an open mouth (like fogging a mirror) to move mucus.
Then repeat the cycle
Read our post about ACBT to better understand when and how to do it
Clear your lungs, one breath at a time!

Best done with guidance from your doctor or physiotherapist.

In celebration of Lung Month, the Lung Center of the Philippines Rehabilitation Medicine Division proudly hosted a special lay forum on frailty, falls, and aging, delivered by Mr. Samuel John S. Chua, PTRP, CPRS.

The talk emphasized the vital role of Physical Therapy and regular exercise in helping older adults remain strong, steady, and independent.

To complement the lay forum, our August–September Physical Therapy Interns led a calming seated yoga session, encouraging movement and wellness at any age.

Special thanks to Dra. Myra S. Tan and to all the Lung Month 2025 Committee, for inviting us to share our knowledge and expertise with our valued patients.
