Our Story

EMK was founded in the 1970s in Beverly Hills by biochemist Emilia Karsh who pioneered plant placenta research. Placental formulations were specifically formulated in small batches for the most discerning California dermatologists.

Our BIOPLACENTA technology was perfected in 1995. Bioplacenta is a plant protein that is bio-identical to the human placenta molecule. In medical studies, it has been proven as being similarly effective as the human placenta protein.

Our RESCUE SERUM hit treatment rooms in 2001 as a rejuvenating treatment with no equal. Two years later, over 50 top California dermatologists were recommending the Rescue Serum as a post-traumatic skin treatment.
