Proud to tell you that we had 3 succesful VBACs!

Btw gusto ko lang sabihin,

Ang schedule naming mga OB, hindi talaga masasabi. Minsan nakaayos ka na papuntang clinic, tapos ang dami mo pang plans all throughout the day (like mag watch ng movie with my son), pero biglang may manganganak. So cancelled lahat ng plano.

Dahil sa kagustuhan ko rin ma accomodate lahat, nagdagdag ako ng Sunday clinic. Kaso ayun nga napagod na rin at dahil diabetic, mabilis nahawa ng sakit.

Gustung gusto ko po kayo makita personally postpartum. Syempre gusto ko makita kung kamusta na po kayo. Yung sugat, yung condition nyo, pero may mga bagay po na beyond my control. Pero wag po kayo mag alala at talaga naman pong kikitain ko kayo.

Pasensya na po cancelled pa rin clinic until today. Nagpapagaling pa po, may ubo at lagnat po kasi. Sorry sa mga na cancellan ko since Monday.

I learned about you from my friend Joyce, a fellow angel baby mom and now a rainbow baby mom, thanks to you. I was hesitant at first because of the distance from Pasig to San Mateo Medical Center (or more honestly, the traffic). But I believe we meet people for a reason, and meeting Joyce led me to you. Even when my husband and friends had their doubts, I stood firm in saying, “Kapag magaling, dinadayo.”

From the very beginning, your care and kindness stood out. I deeply appreciated how you gave your mobile number without being asked and patiently replied to every message from this “praning” mommy.
I love how you never forget to give glory to the Lord in your posts for every successful case of high risk pregnancy.
I love how efficient you are in every checkups, with computerized prescriptions, that gives us more time to ask more questions and be reassured.
I love how you pause and take deep breath before starting every ultrasound, as if whispering a prayer.
I love how you say “ang cute” with genuine joy at every tiny movement in the ultrasound, from little toes kicking my cervix to little bum twerking, as if it was your first time seeing one.
And I love how gentle you are with this fragile momma, even when reminding me, “baka need mo na mag-diet.”

Thank you, Dra. Janna, for helping us conceive and for taking care of us throughout the pregnancy. Our entire family, up to the grandparents, is truly grateful. We pray for your good health, a joyful heart, and that you may keep being a blessing to so many families like ours. 🤍

Hello 👋👋👋 again, momshies! Dahil nakapagpaalam na ako kay Maam Mel na ishare ang story nya:

Maam Mel's pregnancy journey was almost 20 years in the making. It was a looong journey complicated by:

- Chronic hypertension
- Overt diabetes mellitus, insulin-requiring
- Multiple myoma uteri
- Advanced maternal age (45yo)
- history of 1 miscarriage
- Failed IUI 3x
- Failed IVF 1x
- Reproductive Immune Disorder 1,2,5
- s/p bilateral salpingectomy
- s/p repair of PDA

She was a patient of Dr. Co-Sy, where she underwent her second (and succesful) IVF. We first met at 12 weeks aog. Dahil medyo kinakabahan na sa mga genetic disorders because of age ay nagpa NIPT kami which turned out negative. 🥳 Struggle nung first trimester ang bleeding at UTI which eventually resolved.

At second trimester, elevated pa rin ang ESR ni momsh kaya tuloy pa rin sa prednisone, kaya medyo naging mas complicated ang overt DM nya. Nag start na rin tumaas ng BP na nako control pa rin ng meds.

At 30 4/7 weeks, tumaas na lalo ang BP nya sa clinic kaya inadmit ko muna sya para macontrol ito at mabigyan na sya ng MgSO4 at steroids. Na control finally ang BP nya pero highest dose na ng methyldopa at nifedipine. Sabi ko sa kanya, ang swerte pa namin na makakauwi sya bago magpasko, pero need nya mag promise na magiging compliant sa diet at meds.

At 32 weeks, nag message sya sa akin na 170/100 ang BP nya kaya agad ko syang pinapunta sa hospital. Hindi na bumababa ang BP nya kahit na naibigay na namin ang lahat, kaya nag decide na kami ilabas si baby.

Mahirap ang operasyon ni Maam Mel kasi ang lalaki ng myoma nya; ang taas at baba ng matres ay may malalaking myoma kaya nag classical CS kami para mailabas si baby.

We welcomed baby boy weighing 2.3kg, na nag stay sa nicu ng 2 weeks. Umuwi na sila last Monday. 🥳🎉🎊

Maraming maraming salamat sa Skyline team, OR nurses, Dr. Ballesta, Dr. Pami Flores, lalo na kay Dr. Jamie Burlat - Pediatrics sa matinding pag aalaga kay baby hanggang makalabas sya.

Happy new year momshies! 👋👋👋

Dami ko na backlogs na kwento. Sorry dahil sobrang pagoda na ang kwarentahin nyong OB 🤣

Dahil ako ay kasalukuyang nagle labor watch ay naisip kong mag post ng story today. Ang isheshare ko ay ang story ni mommy Kristine. 🥰

I first met them February last year. They had just lost their first baby (after struggling with infertility for 3 years) after giving birth prematurely at 21 weeks. They were seeking advise in preparation for their next pregnancy, but first we had to manage her abnormal me**es.

After 3 months, they came back with positive PT. 🥳🎉 Nagstart na kami ng meds and frequent monitoring. We did cerclage at 14 weeks.

At 26 weeks, when we did cervical length measurement, wala na akong makitang functional cervix. When I did IE, 2cm dilated na sya kaya agad agad kong inadmit. Natakot kami dahil may nahimatay - pero hindi si Kristine kundi sa daddy! Ganun pala sya kapag may nangyayari kay momsh. (True love yern? 😂).

Feeling ko ang mga patients ko ay pinagko connect ni Lord, dahil that week ay may nagrequest na magpapa pessary (Hello Momsh Pixie!!!) on top of her cerclage para sure na sure na di sya magdeliver ng preterm. Kaya nireserve ko na sa kanya yung last pessary na stock ko. Yun pala ay yun ang magagamit ko for Kristine. Nakakatuwa dahil napigilan namin ang tuloy tuloy na contraction, at the same time ay nalagyan ko agad sya ng pessary. Natapos na rin namin ang steroids.

Napauwi pa namin sya with promise na bed rest at magiging compliant sa meds. 🥰 at around 34 weeks ay nagsimula naman tumaas ang BP nya, na nacontrol pa naman namin.

At 37 weeks ay tinanggal na namin ang cerclage at pessary nya. Upon IE ay 5cm na sya. Kaya lang hindi na nagprogress ang labor at 8cm kaya nag CS kami. Kaya pala di bumababa ay may mahigpit na cord coil sa leeg ni baby. Finally ay may baby na sila..🥳🥳🥳🌈🌈🌈

Salamat, Lord sa guidance nyo po sa amin. Thank You at umabot kami sa term. 🙏🙏🙏

* as for Maam Pixie naman, I was able to insert her pessary once dumating yung bagong stocks. She is currently at 33 4/7 weeks. 🥰
