The City Council session with a youth counterpart is a key component of the Boys and Girls Week project organized by the Rotary Club of Roxas (and often with the City Government).
This annual program gives select high school students the opportunity to:
✅Act as "counterparts" to the Mayor, Vice Mayor, City Councilors, and department heads for a week.
✅Observe and participate in the actual workings of the city government, including attending a regular or mock City Council session (Sangguniang Panlungsod).
✅Gain hands-on experience and an appreciation for local governance.
It is a long-running initiative of the Rotary Club, typically held to foster leadership skills and civic responsibility among the youth.
