Despite the challenges brought by the typhoon, our dedicated donors showed unwavering resilience and compassion by participating in this life-saving endeavor.

🛡️ ABKD Task Force Simultaneous Municipal-Wide Dengue Prevention Drive

With the onset of the rainy season and the rising threat of dengue, the ABKD Task Force, under the leadership of Barangay Captain June Veloria, has mobilized a comprehensive house-to-house "Oplan Taob" campaign.

This operation focused on identifying and eliminating potential mosquito breeding sites, particularly stagnant water containers in households and surrounding areas.

🏫 Indoor Spraying Conducted in Salvacion Integrated School

To protect the health and safety of schoolchildren, indoor residual spraying was carried out also in the school. This initiative aims to significantly reduce mosquito populations in educational environments and prevent the spread of dengue among learners.

🤝 A Collective Effort Towards a Dengue-Free Barangay
This intensified simultaneous anti-dengue effort was made possible through the strong collaboration among the following key partners:

*The Rural Health Unit (RHU), which initiated and provided the insecticides used in the spraying operations
*The Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Salvacion
*Barangay Health Volunteer Workers (BHWs)
*And active 4Ps beneficiaries

Their unified commitment and coordination demonstrate the power of community action in protecting public health and promoting a safe environment for all.

👩‍🍼 Empowered Moms, Healthier Families!

August marks the celebration of Family Planning and Breastfeeding Awareness Month, a time dedicated to empowering families with the knowledge and choices they need for a healthier future. In line with this, a Social Behavior Change Campaign was held today at Barangay Salvacion, Saguday, Quirino — bringing together expectant and lactating mothers in a meaningful dialogue about their health, their families, and their future.💙

The activity aimed to increase awareness on the wide range of family planning methods available, helping mothers make informed decisions that align with their needs, values, and goals. Equally, it emphasized the lifelong benefits of breastfeeding — from providing optimal nutrition for babies to fostering a strong emotional bond between mother and child.🍼✨

After the lecture, a distribution of fresh eggs was also conducted, serving as both a token of support and a reminder of the importance of nutrition in the health and well-being of mothers and children.🥚💪

By equipping mothers with accurate information, practical guidance, and tangible support, the campaign sought to inspire healthier choices, stronger families, and a brighter community for generations to come.

Bringing Bright Smiles to Our Little Learners! 🦷✨
In our continuous effort to promote oral health and hygiene among young children, our dedicated dentist conducted a dental activity today at Salvacion ECCD focused on preventive care. Day care pupils received fluoride application to strengthen their teeth and prevent cavities, along with silver diamine fluoride (SDF) treatment to help arrest existing tooth decay.

This initiative aims not only to treat but also to educate our children on the importance of maintaining healthy teeth at an early age. Through small but meaningful actions like these, we are building healthier futures—one smile at a time. 😄

Barangay Salvacion proudly launched its 2025 Nutrition Month Celebration today with a symbolic tarpaulin hanging ceremony, officially marking the beginning of a month-long advocacy dedicated to health, nutrition, and community well-being.

Led by the Barangay Nutrition Committee, the event began with the unveiling of the official Nutrition Month banner—an emblem of the barangay’s continued commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and informed food choices. A photo session followed, capturing the unity and dedication of local leaders and volunteers as they stand together in support of this year’s theme and goals.

This kickoff event is just the first of many initiatives scheduled throughout July, all designed to educate, empower, and engage the community in the fight against malnutrition and diet-related diseases.
