Today, our hearts are filled with warmth and deep respect as we celebrate the lives and milestones of our cherished Octogenarians and Nonagenarians here in San Benito, Surigao del Norte!

The air at the MSWD Office is vibrant with joy as the dedicated NCSC Staff spearheads the significant Cash Gift Distribution under the Expanded Centenarians Act (R.A. No. 11982). This financial support is a profound recognition of the invaluable contributions, wisdom, and resilience of our elderly throughout their long and fruitful years.

We were especially honored by the presence and warm welcome extended by our beloved Hon. Mayor Ma. Gina S. Menil. Her commitment and support for our senior citizens truly embody the spirit of Serbisyong Tapat (Sincere Service). Mayor Menil's presence highlights the LGU's deep-seated reverence for our elders, ensuring they receive the recognition and benefits they rightfully deserve at this wonderful stage of their lives.

To all the beneficiariesโ€”those reaching the celebrated ages of 80, 85, 90, and 95โ€”your lives are a treasure trove of history, lessons, and love for our community. May this cash gift serve as a small token of the nation's immense gratitude and appreciation for your enduring legacy.

A big thank you to the NCSC Staff for their tireless efforts in making this distribution seamless and joyful, and it is our pleasure as MSWDO staff to host this meaningful event. It truly takes a community to honor its history-makers.

Mabuhay ang ating mga Lolo at Lola! May your days continue to be filled with health, happiness, and love!

October 03, 2025 | Child Development Workers Benchmarking

The Local Government Unit of San Benito, under the dedicated leadership of Hon. Gina Sumando Menil, continues to champion the welfare and holistic development of San Benitohanon children, especially the young learners under the program of Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD).

In line with its steadfast support to the ECCD Program, the LGU through Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, headed by the dedicated MSWD Officer, Analiza Dolar Estoque, conducted a Benchmarking Visit for Child Development Workers at the Municipality of Sison, Surigao del Norte.

During the visit, the CDWs had the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge, skills and observe and learn the best practices of Sisonโ€™s established Child Development Centers. With that, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the LGU of Sison and the MSWDO for the warm welcome, generosity, and willingness to share your best practices.

It was truly an inspiring and fruitful exchange, filled with new ideas, renewed passion, and a deeper appreciation for their role as the heart of early childhood education.

Kudos to our hardworking CDWs for their continued dedication to nurturing and shaping young minds. Also, Happy Teacherโ€™s Month to all our CDWs!
