βNO CLASSES, ALL LEVELS STARTING 12NN FEB 5, 2026 UNTIL FEB 6, 2026 DUE TO TD βBASYANGβ
There will be NO face-to-face or in-person classes in all levels both public and private learning institutions in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, effective 12nn tomorrow, 5 February 2026 (Thursday) until 6 February 2026 (Friday), as we brace for the potential impacts of Tropical Depression βBasyangβ.
The weather system may cause massive flooding in low-lying areas due to its possible heavy rainfall. Likewise, landslide prone and storm surge prone communities are alerted to prepare and heed to pre-emptive evacuation order from the barangay or local authorities.
San Carlos City may experience moderate to heavy rainfall tomorrow afternoon as TD βBasyangβ will move closer to the vicinity of Negros island.
οΏΌLearners, particularly unaccompanied minors are strictly prohibited from in public places or outside their homes as classes are suspended.
Furthermore, the public is advised to limit or prioritize essential outdoor activities to reduce the risks of storm hazards triggered by gust winds and heavy rainfall.
An order to this effect shall be issued accordingly for widest dissemination to all concerned.
