🧠💚 SDO City of San Fernando (Pampanga) firmly upholds the importance of mental health and well-being — not only during World Mental Health Month (October 1–31) but throughout the entire school year, in full support of OK sa DepEd’s School-Based Mental Health Program. 🌿✨
In line with SDM No. 491, s. 2025, “Commemoration of School-Based Mental Health Observances 2025 – World Mental Health Day Celebration (October 10, 2025),” and SDM No. 534, s. 2025, “Dissemination and Printing of Official Infographic Posters from the Department of Education - Public Affairs Service (PAS) – Mental Health Infographics and Crisis Hotlines” (released October 21, 2025), the Division proudly conducted meaningful initiatives that promote awareness, compassion, and care for mental health among all personnel.
On October 10, 2025, in celebration of World Mental Health Day, the Division launched “Mindful Encouragement and Nourishment Through a Little Happiness: M.E.N.T.A.L. H.ealth Bites.” 🌻 Through this initiative, words of encouragement attached to small treats were thoughtfully distributed to all employees across the Functional Divisions — the Administrative Division, Curriculum Implementation Division, and School Governance and Operations Division — to uplift spirits and foster positivity in the workplace.
Personnel also enjoyed the advocacy photobooth with the theme &HereWithU, symbolizing that mental health care is both heard and here within the SDO community. 💬💚 Adding joy and creativity, characters from Disney Pixar’s Inside Out joined the celebration, representing the wide range of emotions we all experience — a reminder that every emotion matters and every feeling is valid. 💛💜❤️💚💙
These initiatives, which emphasize the value of every personnel’s mental health — especially during the one-week health break — were made possible through the leadership and guidance of our esteemed education and health champions:
🎓 DepEd Secretary, Hon. Juan Edgardo “Sonny” M. Angara
🏛️ DepEd Region III Regional Director, Dr. Ronnie S. Mallari, CESO V
🌟 Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Shirley B. Zipagan, CESO VI
🤝 School Governance and Operations Division Chief, Dr. Lawrence G. Agapito
💉 Division Medical Officer III, Dr. Justine Danniela C. Arceo
💚 School-Based Mental Health Program Focal Person, Nurse Joan Marie C. Baluyut
🌼 School Health and Nutrition Unit
Together, we continue to build a nurturing, compassionate, and mentally healthy environment for all — because mental health matters every day, not just in October. 🌱💚

‼️DOH: IT’S FLU SEASON, NOT AN OUTBREAK‼️
