The GreenCity Medical Center family proudly celebrates another milestone with the successful performance of its first Knee Chemoablation of Articular Nerves using alcohol for patients with severe osteoarthritis (Kellgren–Lawrence Grades III–IV).

This procedure targets the genicular nerves responsible for knee pain, and treatment may be adjusted based on the patient’s pain distribution, allowing approximately five to seven articular nerve branches to be treated. The procedure uses ultrasound and fluoroscopic guidance for precise needle placement and is designed to be 100% motor-sparing, as it targets purely sensory nerve branches.
