Mother Teresa of Calcutta Medical Center is a state of the art multi-specialty medical center in Barangay Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, founded in February 28, 2006. It is owned and operated by Silvermed Corporation and has a partnership with Mount Grace Hospitals Inc. a subsidiary company of United Laboratories (UNILAB). It initially started as a 100 bed medical center complex made up of three buildings joined together to come up with a very spacious, efficient and well ventilated hospital environment. It indeed has served as second home for patients whether in wellness or in disease. The medical center lies in the center of a two (2) hectare lot that is along the Mc Arthur Highway, a national highway leading to and from the major provinces of Central Luzon. As a distinct advantage, the medical center has a fully landscaped and wide parking lot located strategically around the hospital. It is also known for offering world class multispecialty and subspecialty medical services to its patients comparable, if not better, than those offered in Metro Manila hospitals. It likewise offers an array of state of the art medical facilities and equipment like the MRI and Mammotome which are the only 2nd installations in the Central Luzon area. For more than 11 years that it has existed, the medical center has grown by leaps and bounds by an annual expansion of its infrastructure and physical facilities, like the addition of the new wings for patients, the expanded Hemodialysis Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric ICU, Operating and Delivery Room, Cardiac and Pulmonary Laboratory, the entire Laboratory Complex, CSSR, Chapel, and Canteen. All these improvements were aimed at rendering better health care services for our patients and benefactors. Our bed capacity will be increased to 174 beds and the medical center was given the recognition as โCenter of Excellenceโ by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation. For three consecutive years, Mother Teresa of Calcutta Medical Center was awarded the Most Healthy Hospital in Pampanga by the Department of Health. It also won Achievement Awards for Newborn Screening for four consecutive years. And to culminate it all, the center was awarded in 2011 the Most Healthy Hospital in the Central Luzon Region also by the DOH. The medical center conforms to the standards of the ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management Systems), and OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) for three (3) years. These certifications achieved further improved the quality and safety of its services to its patients, clienteles and stakeholders. It is also currently expanding and renovating its infrastructure and facilities to guarantee more patient accommodations and safety. In February 2014, it has bought an Accuray: Tomotherapy HTM Series to offer the MOST MODERN RADIATION THERAPY FOR CANCER IN THE ASIA PACIFIC REGION that is first and only in the whole Asia Pacific Region and in February 2017, THE MOST MODERN NUCLEAR MEDICINE FACILITY IN CENTRAL LUZON was installed in the medical center.
