On October 30, 2025 | The DOLE Regional Office III Mental Health Responders conducted a Psychological First Aid (PFA) Training aimed at equipping one representative from each province in the region with the necessary knowledge and skills to promote and implement mental health initiatives in the workplace.

The training focused on enhancing participants’ ability to recognize signs of psychological distress, provide immediate and compassionate support, and refer individuals to appropriate professional help when needed. Through lectures, interactive discussions, and role playing, participants gained a deeper understanding of how to create a supportive and psychologically safe work environment.

This initiative reflects DOLE RO III’s continued commitment to advancing mental health awareness and fostering a culture of care within the labor sector. By empowering provincial representatives with PFA competencies, the office ensures that mental health support becomes an integral part of occupational safety and health programs across Central Luzon.

Prioritizing Mental Health in the Workplace! 🌿
In celebration of Mental Health Month, the Regional Health and Safety Committee of DOLE Regional Office III will host the Psychological First Aid in the Workplace (PFA-W) Training for their employee representatives per Provincial Offices and Division

The theme, "Access to Services: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies," highlights the crucial need to provide immediate mental and psychosocial support, especially for those affected by crises, disasters, and conflicts. Equipping ourselves with PFA-W skills is a vital step toward fostering a resilient and supportive environment where everyone can cope and recover.

We are privileged to be joined by our dedicated Mental Health Support Representatives and Responders from across the region! (See pictures below for the full team!)

This training is a commitment from our Regional Health and Safety Committee to ensuring that no one is left unheard and that our workforce has the tools to support one another during challenging times. Let's champion a culture of mental wellness!

Appreciation to Argao Psych for the Training of our Mental Health Responders held in May 2025 (this training is an echo of the said initial PFA-W)
