I used to see toddlers with long, dirty nails and think, “Wow… their parents really aren’t paying attention.”

Then I became a MOTHER — and reality humbled me instantly. 😂

Cutting a toddler’s nails is a full-on battle scene: twisting, crying, dramatic screams like you’re removing a whole finger. So you wait until they’re asleep… sometimes it works, sometimes they wake up mid-clip ready to fight.

And when you do manage to cut them? Give it 48 hours — those nails are back, long and filthy like they’ve been mining coal. 😭

Baths twice a day, washing hands constantly, wiping after they touch everything…
doesn’t matter. Toddlers somehow collect dust, sand, crumbs, and an entire mystery ecosystem under those tiny nails.

Toddlers are endless projects — with maximum drama. 🤣 Motherhood will humble you every single time.
