Namatay ang isang 13-anyos na babae sa Tondo, Maynila matapos makagat ng a*ong may rabies.

Nitong Pebrero pa nakagat ang babae sa may Vitas Park pero itinago niya ito sa kaniyang mga magulang.

Kuwento ng kaniyang ina, April 5 isinugod ang babae sa ospital matapos manginig at mahirapang uminom ng tubig. Matapos ang 12 oras, bumula ang bibig ng babae at tuluyang binawian ng buhay.

Ayon sa Barangay 99, may pito pang indibidwal na kinagat ng a*o. Nagpaospital silang lahat para magpaturok ng anti-rabies maliban sa babae.

Nahirapan ang mga tauhan ng barangay na hulihin ang a*ong may rabies. Pitong araw matapos makakagat, namatay rin ang a*o.

Paliwanag ng physician na si Dr. Dex Macalintal, nakamamatay ang rabies kapag hindi ito naagapan.

Para maiwasan ang ka*o ng rabies, ‘wag kalimutang pabakunahan ang inyong mga alagang hayop. Kung makagat o makalmot, agad na pumunta sa Animal Bite Treatment Centers sa inyong komunidad.
