Life as a consultant is a constant balancing act—being a mother not only to my daughters, but also to my pulmonary fellows and medical residents. Each day brings the challenge of understanding and guiding individuals with different personalities, perspectives, and learning styles. Each have their own struggles and their own way of learning. Yet, nothing compares to the profound fulfillment of witnessing their progress and success—knowing that, in some way, I’ve helped shape their journey, shared my wisdom, and guided them toward becoming the best versions of themselves.
Cardinal Santos Medical Center has been an exceptional training ground for my Internal Medicine specialization. It was here that I refined my clinical skills and developed a deep appreciation for the core values of empathy, professionalism, compassion, and service. Under the guidance of dedicated and exemplary consultants who believed in my potential, I gained not only the knowledge and competence essential to my profession, but also the confidence to lead and the commitment to pay it forward. Their mentorship continues to inspire me to uphold these same values as I guide and support the next generation of internists.
If given the choice, I would choose Cardinal Santos Medical Center for my Internal Medicine residency again and again. The institution not only provides outstanding clinical education but also fosters a warm, family-oriented environment that nurtures growth—both professionally and personally—as you begin your journey in clinical practice.
