On or about 1600h 05January 2026 this squadron with CGSS Cotta Ang CGSQ MEPU released 93 olive ridley hatchlings back to the sea at Brgy Bignay 2 Sariaya Quezon also present was Mr Edwin Frias a Pawikan Patroller and caretaker of PCGA PCG hatchery.

on or about 1700h 03January2026, We visited the hatchery unit at Bignay 2 to renovate the perimeter fence of the hatchery unit where in we received report that the hatchlings were eaten by crows due to poor fence of the unit. Wut up the new fence with the help pd our pawikan patroller kuya Edwin and auxiliary applicant Dennis Guzman.

On or about 1:15 we received a call stating an Olive Ridley turtle is laying eggs along the shoreline of Brgy Putingbuhangin San Juan Batangas near Dalampesigan Resort and we immediately proceed to the area and secured it while the turtle is nesting we gave a short talk to the beach goers regarding our Pawikan conservation right after the nesting before sending the mother turtle back to the sea we measured it and estimate it's weight, 70cm x 60cm more or less 30 kgs. 124 Eggs were transferred to the PCGA PCG hatchery unit .

As we welcome 2026 we released 77 olive ridley hatchlings at the shoreline of Brgy Putingbuhangin with local tourist and resorts guest.

0n or about1700h 29 December2025 this squadron release 87 olive ridley turtles at Brgy Putingbuhangin San Juan Batangas, a short briefing was delivered by PO2 Mark V Tome PCG of CGSs San Juan and AUX CDR ANDRES LUISTRO JR regarding the Pawikan Conservation project of the PCG PCGA in partnership with MENRO San Juan and Brgy Putingbuhangin, Local Tourist and Tourist from Los Angeles California appreciated the said pawikan conservation project.

On or about 0820h 29 December 2025 this squadron renders duty at malasakit help desk MARQUEZ Port Lucena City in connection with the OPLAN BIYAHENG AYOS (Pasko 2025) we assisted passengers going to Marinduque, Romblon and Masbate Provinces our tour of duty ended at 1530h with no untoward incident.
