Ngayong araw, inaasahang aabot sa 40°C ang heat index sa Lungsod ng Tuguegarao, Cagayan, ayon sa forecast ng DOST-PAGASA.

Ito ay kabilang sa “Extreme Caution” category, kung saan maaaring maranasan ang heat cramps at heat exhaustion. Ang patuloy na aktibidad sa init ay maaari ring magdulot ng heat stroke.

Kaya naman, manatiling alerto, alagaan ang sarili at manatiling ligtas sa gitna ng matinding init ng panahon.

El Niño Alert issued ⚠️

DOST-PAGASA has officially raised its ENSO Alert and Warning System to El Niño Alert, following the high likelihood of its development in the coming months and possible persistence into early 2027. This may bring drier-than-usual conditions, including dry spells and droughts in parts of the country.

However, above-normal rainfall may still be experienced over the western sections during the Habagat season.

Sa matinding init, mahalagang kilalanin ang mga senyales ng panganib:

🔸 Heat Cramps – Pananakit o pamumulikat ng kalamnan, kadalasang dulot ng sobrang init at pisikal na aktibidad
🔸 Heat Exhaustion – Matinding pagkapagod, hilo, at dehydration dahil sa matagal na pagkabilad sa init
🔸 Heat Stroke – Pinakamalubha—maaaring magdulot ng pagkawala ng malay at nangangailangan ng agarang atensyong medikal

💧 Uminom ng sapat na tubig
🌳 Magpahinga sa malamig o may lilim na lugar
👕 Magsuot ng preskong damit
