How to SPOT a Legitimate PRODUCT that is approved by BFAD?
*FDA just released a new directive asking all food manufacturing company to comply. This also includes, ci******es and liquors to display a proper precaution on their labels.
1. Nutrition Facts - The nutrition facts label (also known as the nutrition information panel, and other slight variations) is a label required on most packaged food in many countries.
Most countries also release overall nutrition guides for general educational purposes. In some cases, the guides are based on different dietary targets for various nutrients than the labels on specific foods.
2. Ingredients - FDA recently require the proper presentation of ingredients, including their scientific names and food coloring.
You can no longer use the fruit name itself on ingredients for it has already undergone process.
3. FDA FR. No. - self explanatory, every BFAD approved product must have the FR No. on their labels.
4. Precaution - a proper precaution should also be included in the label.
Ex. Ci******es - this product can cause lung cancer, impotence etc.
BFAD will conduct surprise inspection and immediate closure of companies distributing non FDA compliant products.
