The Santa Maria Rural Health Unit (RHU) spearheaded an Adolescent Symposium with the theme βEmpowered Teens, Healthy Choices, Brighter Futuresβ, aiming to educate young people on critical health and social issues.
The symposium addressed topics such as Teenage Pregnancy, HIV-AIDS Awareness, Illegal Drugs, Bullying, and Mental Health, fostering awareness and informed decision-making among adolescents.
Key speakers delivered insightful discussions on the importance of making healthy choices and understanding the consequences of risky behaviors. Their talks emphasized empowerment, responsibility, and the role of education in shaping brighter futures for the youth.
In addition to the symposium, RHU Santa Maria extended its services by offering free X-ray examinations for Senior High School students, faculty, staff, and local residents, reinforcing its commitment to community health and wellness.
This initiative reflects RHU Santa Mariaβs dedication to promoting holistic health education and preventive care, ensuring that adolescents and the community are equipped with knowledge and resources for a healthier tomorrow.
