Celebrating Strength, Health, and Empowerment this Philippine Women’s Month

This March, we honor the resilience, courage, and leadership of Filipino women in all walks of life. As we celebrate Philippine Women’s Month, we also reaffirm our commitment to women’s health — including HIV awareness, prevention, testing, and treatment.

💜 Women have the right to:
✔️ Accurate information about HIV & AIDS
✔️ Access to free and confidential testing
✔️ Safe and stigma-free healthcare services
✔️ Prevention tools and life-saving treatment

HIV does not discriminate — and neither should we. Empowered women make empowered communities. By promoting education, early testing, and compassionate care, we help protect mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends.

Let’s break the stigma. Let’s spread awareness. Let’s support one another.

Together, we stand for healthy women, healthy families, and healthy communities.

Leveling Up Safe Space!

The Safe Space team continues to level up in sharing knowledge about the HIV/AIDS program through DWNE Teleradyo. Our HACT Manager, Laidee Camille Acacio-Reyes, was invited as the main guest to discuss and share our public services.

This opportunity allowed us to inform the community about the services we provide for individuals who want to know their HIV status, as well as for those who are affected by HIV.

Together, we continue to promote awareness, education, and support for a healthier and more informed community.

✨ Quarterly Meeting | February 21, 2026 ✨
Safe Space Primary HIV Care Facility – 1st Strategic Meeting

On February 21, we successfully conducted our 1st Strategic Quarterly Meeting — a meaningful gathering focused on strengthening our services, reviewing our milestones, and addressing the challenges we face as a treatment facility.

This meeting highlighted our success stories, including:
✅ Increased client enrollment through strong stakeholder referrals
✅ Expanded partnerships with RHUs, schools, and community organizations
✅ Improved ART linkage and continuity of care
✅ Enhanced awareness and screening initiatives in the community

At the same time, we openly discussed our challenges, such as:
▪ Availability of baseline laboratory tests (CD4 count, GeneXpert)
▪ Limited access to confirmatory testing for newly diagnosed clients
▪ Supply gaps in essential commodities and laboratory materials

Despite these challenges, our commitment remains stronger than ever. Together, we continue to improve systems, strengthen partnerships, and ensure that every client receives quality, compassionate, and confidential HIV care.

💙 Thank you to our healthcare team, partners, and stakeholders for your dedication and unwavering support.

Anyone who wants to know their HIV status are encouraged to get tested.

Under the HIV self-testing pilot programme, self-testing kit can now be purchased and administered in the privacy of your home to screen for HIV.

With early diagnosis, and early and effective treatment, persons living with HIV can lead lives no different from others.

Prisons. Rehabilitation Centers. Institutions.

RA 11166 brings comprehensive HIV prevention and care to ALL closed settings.

Behind bars doesn't mean without care.
