"Sige, subukan mong umiyak!"
"Dapat masaya ka lang, wag ’yung lagi na lang umiiyak."
These hurtful words are sadly common that kids encounter as they grow. As much as we want our
kids to grow up strong and resilient adults, this way of strengthening them only leads to negative impacts
such as low self-esteem, poor emotional quotient, and isolation.
That’s why it is important for parents to understand why kids often struggle with emotions. Your role as
their parents is to be their role model and guide to help them recognize, process, and understand these
big emotions.
Thus, the PCDP offers some simple ways on how you can properly validate your child's emotions
whenever they are having a struggle with it, much especially when they are dealing with negative
emotions such as anger, grief, and sadness.
Want to understand more about your kids’ emotions?
We are here to help! At PCDP, your child’s total
development is our commitment.
