The Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Santander successfully conducted the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 with the theme “𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒛𝒆 𝑩𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈: 𝑪𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒂 𝑺𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝑺𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕 𝑺𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒎” on 𝑨𝒖𝒈𝒖𝒔𝒕 26, 2025, at the 𝑺𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕 𝑮𝒂𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒍 𝑨𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒍 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝑲𝒊𝒐𝒔𝒌.

The event highlighted the importance and benefits of exclusive breastfeeding for both mothers and infants. It aimed to encourage the participants to support breastfeeding practices.

The success of this activity was made possible through the commitment and leadership of Dr. Almid T. Julhani, together with the dedicated RHU staff, Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), and the active participation of the attendees.

The Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Santander successfully conducted the 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐍𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 on 𝑨𝒖𝒈𝒖𝒔𝒕 22, 2025, at the 𝑺𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕 𝑮𝒂𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒍 𝑨𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒍 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝑲𝒊𝒐𝒔𝒌.

The event aimed to raise awareness on the importance infant and young child feeding, as well as to promote good maternal nutrition. Through this activity, participants learned ways to ensure the health and well-being of both mothers and their children.

This meaningful activity was made possible through the dedication and teamwork of the RHU staff, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), and the active participation of the mothers in the community.

The Rural Health Unit of Santander, through the Local Government Unit, successfully conducted the 𝐑𝐄-𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐄: 𝐑𝐞-𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 with the theme “𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑾𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒔.”

The event highlighted the creativity, teamwork, and dedication of the participants who showcased their artistic skills using recycled materials.

The Municipality of Santander successfully celebrated the 𝟓𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐍𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 last 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, with the theme “𝑆𝑎 𝑃𝑃𝐴𝑁: 𝑆𝑎𝑚𝑎-𝑆𝑎𝑚𝑎 𝑠𝑎 𝑁𝑢𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑠𝑦𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝑆𝑎𝑝𝑎𝑡 𝑃𝑎𝑟𝑎 𝑠𝑎 𝐿𝑎ℎ𝑎𝑡! 𝐹𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑎𝑡 𝑁𝑢𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑆𝑒𝑐𝑢𝑟𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑀𝑎𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑃𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑡𝑦! 𝑆𝑎𝑝𝑎𝑡 𝑛𝑎 𝑃𝑎𝑔𝑘𝑎𝑖𝑛 𝐾𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑝𝑎𝑡𝑎𝑛 𝑁𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑛!”

The event was organized by RHU Santander in collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU) Santander. Various activities were organized to promote health awareness including the Crawlathon Contest, Mascot Contest, Fruit and Vegetables Stall Contest, and the Nutrition and MDRRM Quiz Bowl Contest.

The celebration showcased not only the creativity and participation of different departments but also the active involvement of the 10 barangays in the municipality. This event spotlight the municipality’s combined effort in giving attention to proper nutrition and food security.

The winners for 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒕 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒔𝒕 are:

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫!

We are proud to share that our municipality has been recognized at the 𝑳𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝑺𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒎 𝑨𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒔 held on 𝑱𝒖𝒍𝒚 31, 2025, 𝒊𝒏 𝑪𝒆𝒃𝒖 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒚.

Santander proudly ranked 28𝒕𝒉 𝒊𝒏 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑽𝑰𝑰 for achieving 1.13% target for voluntary, non-renumerated blood donations in 2024.

This success would not have been possible without the unwavering support of everyone who contributed to this achievement.
