‼️Strengthening our Nation through Nourished Generation‼️

On this day, September 16, 2025, we proudly commemorate the 2nd Founding Anniversary of the Allied Health Professional Service (AHPS) at the Southern Isabela Medical Center (SIMC)—a division built on vision, leadership, and the collective pursuit of excellence in patient care.

The AHPS was officially established on 𝑺𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓 16, 2023, through the issuance of a Department of Health Memorandum that formally separated the Allied Health services from the Medical and Ancillary Service. This historic transition took place under the stewardship of Dr. Melchor C. Dela Cruz, Jr., MHA, FPOGS former Medical Center Chief II, and with the supervision of Dr. Butch Loreto Garcia III, RN, MBA, LLB, FICS, FPCHA who was serving as Chief of Medical Professional Staff II of the Medical and Ancillary Division—the office that previously oversaw both medical and allied health services prior to their separation.

The first and current Head of the AHPS is 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗮 𝗗. 𝗗𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼, 𝗥𝗣𝗵, 𝗖𝗙𝗣, 𝗙𝗣𝗦𝗠𝗦𝗚, the Chief Health Program Officer who continues to guide the service with passion and dedication. 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗮𝗼, 𝗠𝗛𝗔, 𝗠𝗦𝗡, 𝗙𝗣𝗦𝗠𝗦, 𝗙𝗣𝗖𝗛𝗔, ensuring its alignment with national health goals and hospital excellence.

The AHPS unites four departments, each with a unique role yet working together toward a common purpose:

𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 – led by 𝗡𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗖. 𝗗𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗻, 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿, ensuring accurate and accessible health records for continuity of care.

𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻t – led by 𝗟𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗛𝘆𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗟. 𝗟𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘇, 𝗥𝗡𝗗, 𝗠𝗦𝗣𝗛, 𝗙𝗦𝗖𝗢, 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗩, promoting evidence-based nutritional care and diet management for holistic healing.

𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 – led by 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗜. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻, 𝗥𝗣𝗵, 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗩, ensuring safe, rational, and effective medication use.

With a vision of becoming a highly responsive and integrated allied health service anchored in excellence, compassion, and innovation, the AHPS is committed to delivering quality services in line with the Department of Health’s goals for universal health care.

As we celebrate this 2-year journey, we honor the professionals whose expertise and dedication form the backbone of the AHPS. Their academic rigor, clinical skills, and compassion exemplify the very essence of healthcare—working hand in hand with doctors, nurses, and administrators to ensure the best outcomes for every patient.

Today, we do not just celebrate an anniversary—we celebrate a legacy in the making, rooted in a DOH mandate and strengthened by the unwavering service of allied health professionals who touch countless lives every day.

NUTRITION MONTH CULMINATION AND AWARDING CEREMONY

Hats off to our Nutritionist-Dietitians, the driving force behind the successful implementation of this year’s 51st Nutrition Month Celebration.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to all hospital divisions who actively participated in the various activities, as well as to our partner offices for their unwavering support and collaboration.

A special recognition is likewise given to the Management Committee, headed by our DOH Undersecretary and concurrent Medical Center Chief II, Dr. Glenn Mathew G. Baggao, MHA, MSN, FPSMS, FPCHA, for their steadfast guidance and leadership throughout the celebration.
