🤱 BIRTH — STEP BY STEP

1️⃣ Labour begins — mild to strong contractions; cervix starts to dilate.
2️⃣ Active labour — stronger, closer contractions; cervix opens more (6–10 cm).
3️⃣ Pushing — when fully dilated, mom pushes; baby moves down the birth canal.
4️⃣ Birth — baby’s head then body are delivered 👶.
5️⃣ Placenta — delivered after baby (the afterbirth).
6️⃣ Immediate newborn care — drying, skin-to-skin, first breastfeeding if possible.
