Not all pain in yoga is just physical.

Sometimes when we hold a pose a little longer and the body begins to shake or ache, it’s not weakness. It’s not failure. It might be something deeper.
Our bodies remember.

They remember stress we never processed.
They remember emotions we pushed aside to stay strong.
They remember survival patterns we thought we had moved past.

When we breathe deeply and finally slow down, the nervous system feels safe enough to release what it has been holding.
And that release doesn’t always feel peaceful. Sometimes it feels like discomfort.

You’re not broken.
You’re not dramatic.
Your body is simply speaking.

Listen gently. Move kindly. And honor whatever comes up. 💛
