Nanay Biding’s Send-Off
Lydia Gueco Bedruz
May 27, 1943 – March 30, 2026

Lydia, a name that means “beautiful lady”, and in her case, it was true. Nanay Biding was a true beauty in real life, with a face that people remembered and admired. But beyond her physical beauty was a presence just as striking — strong, confident, and full of life.

She was a woman ahead of her time. Known in Talon as the only woman who confidently drove an owner-type jeep and a jeepney, she carried both boldness and independence with pride.

Nanay Biding almost single-handedly raised her four children, pouring her life into their growth and future. Today, each of them stands as a testament to her sacrifices, discipline, and unwavering love, all crediting their success to the woman who shaped them.

Her send-off was filled with warmth, stories, and music that captured her spirit, including Yellow by Coldplay, a song that somehow mirrored her vibrant and “cool” vibe.

The presence of so many family members and friends spoke volumes. It was a powerful reflection of a life well-lived and a woman deeply loved. Nanay Biding’s legacy lives on in her children, in the stories shared, and in the strength she passed on to everyone she touched.

In her final days, she was surrounded by love, given the chance to hear the goodbyes, the forgiveness, and the heartfelt words from her family and closest loved ones.

Our founders, Meerly and Randy, chose to do something deeply meaningful for their beloved Inay, they organized her living funeral.

Not out of sadness, but out of love.
A living funeral is a rare and beautiful experience. It’s a chance to celebrate life while your loved one is still here. To say the words we often leave unsaid, to give thanks, to forgive, to laugh, to cry, and to simply be present together.

For Meerly and Randy, it was about honoring Inay not just in memory, but in the moment. Surrounded by family, stories were shared, gratitude was spoken, and love was felt fully, openly, and without delay.

Because sometimes, the greatest gift we can give… is not waiting.

Inay passed right after everyone finished their piece...

At Mont Eden, we believe that planning ahead isn’t about preparing for loss — it’s about creating space for love, intention, and peace.

Which type of cremation is right for your family? 💛

Here are the options we offer:

Quiet, respectful process without a full viewing
Includes proper care, cleaning, clothing, dignified rental casket and a short viewing before cremation.

Cremation happens first
Family and friends gather afterward with the urn to honor your loved one

3️⃣ Viewing + Cremation – Traditional Farewell
Wake with the body present
Followed by cremation, giving families time for final goodbyes

Under the Mont Eden Community Club, we recently organized our 4th FREE Chair Yoga session as part of our commitment to give back and inspire our community to "Living Well Together".

What made this session even more meaningful was what followed, a no-obligation afterlife care and memorial pre-planning conversation.

More and more, we’re seeing a shift. People are becoming open to planning ahead — not out of fear, but out of love, responsibility, and the desire to ease the burden on their families. In fact, this session was requested by the attendees themselves.
Memorial pre-planning isn’t just about logistics, it’s about making thoughtful decisions in advance, ensuring your wishes are honored, and giving your loved ones the space to grieve without added stress when the time comes.

If you’d like to be part of our next session, please DM us to be added to the waitlist.

Our founder sat down with for She’s Built From Within to share the heart behind Mont Eden.

In the interview, she opens up about our approach to funeral care, creating time, space, and a deeply personalized experience for families to grieve, honor, and serve their loved ones with intention.

Because a funeral is not only for the departed, but more importantly for those left behind. how they remember, how they process, and how they begin to heal.

At Mont Eden, we believe in holding that space with compassion, allowing every family the dignity to grieve in their own way.

💬 After watching, drop a comment and share what inspires you to step into something meaningful, even when it feels scary.

🌸🌼Remembering Agatha Celeste Mendoza (Basha) 👼
19 March 2026

Baby Basha was meant to arrive on March 22, a day her family had been waiting for with so much love and anticipation.

But sometimes, life unfolds in ways we cannot understand.

Basha was gently called home before her family could hold her in the way they had dreamed.

The news brought a kind of heartbreak no one is ever prepared for. Family members gathered, holding one another through the pain. Her mother, unable to be there in person, said goodbye from the phone, her love and grief deeply felt in the room.

In that quiet, fragile space, the family was given time to be with Basha, to hold her, to embrace her, and to say goodbye. It was a moment filled with sorrow, but also with so much love.

Her older brother is still too young to understand. One day, he will know that he has a sister, someone deeply loved, forever part of their family.

Even in loss, love does not leave. It stays. It lingers. It remains.

At Mont Eden, we are honored to walk with families through these most delicate moments. holding space for love, even in goodbye.

Her name was already embroidered onto her swaddle, prepared with so much love and excitement.

Holding her today, this little detail breaks our heart the most, the stitching of her name, a symbol of all the anticipation and dreams… now carrying the weight of a love that has nowhere to go but remains, just as deep.

Planning Ahead Starts with a Cup of Coffee ☕

We plan birthdays.
We plan vacations.
We plan our children’s future.

But have we ever talked about planning ahead for our family when the time comes?

Join us for a casual coffee session where we openly share about:
• Memorial planning
• Installment options for lawn lots and funeral packages
• How early planning can ease the burden on loved ones

This is not a sales seminar.

It’s simply a safe and honest conversation about something every family will eventually face.

Because planning ahead isn’t about death.
It’s about love, responsibility, and peace of mind.

We brought the Mont Eden Community Club outdoor - Active Aging Morning Walk at was a huge success!

35 people showed up bright and early to move, breathe, and spend time in nature together. It was truly heartwarming to see such a big turn out!

We started the morning with a gentle warm-up to wake up the body. From there, we moved into a silent walking meditation — no phones, no talking — simply allowing ourselves to reconnect with our senses and being present.

After the walking meditation, we continued with a relaxed walk through the park, enjoying each other’s company and the beautiful surroundings.

We then gathered for a healthy and delicious breakfast, followed by a fun nutrition sharing and quiz.

The Mont Eden Community Club started with the same heart we serve families every day, to support our community through all stages of life, today was a beautiful reminder that while we often talk about planning for the future, it is just as important to live well today.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and for the yummy breakfast and Coach Dana Purugganan for your nutrition and fitness expertise and insights!

Here’s to more movement, more connection, and living well together.
