Dear SLSU Students,
The Obligation Fulfillment for Clearance (OFC) is a corrective and motivational program designed to encourage full participation in university events (both mandatory and non-mandatory). These events play a vital role in your holistic development, student engagement, and building a strong sense of community at Southern Leyte State University (SLSU).

Allows students to make up for missed events through meaningful contributions to the university.
Promotes accountability, responsibility, and active participationโcore values of SLSU.
Aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education) by fostering inclusive and quality student experiences.

๐๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ฌ:
For missed events: Complete 2 hours of on-campus community service (department-based tasks) and/or an SSC evaluation/verification.
On-campus only: To ensure full compliance with CHED Memorandum Order No. 63 s. 2017, all service obligations are conducted on-campus, prioritizing student safety and reducing administrative requirements.
Encourages better attendance: Similar programs in other universities have shown a 20โ30% reduction in absenteeism through structured, non-punitive consequences.
Turns absences into positive opportunities: Students gain practical skills, build camaraderie, and strengthen connection to SLSUโs identity and principles.

This OFC implementation (including department-based service and SSC verification) is a short-term action plan for the current semester only. It will be evaluated at the end of the term based on results, and recommendations from relevant offices. Changes or improvements may be applied in the next semester.
Your active participation helps create a more vibrant and united SLSU community. Letโs support each other in making the most of every university opportunity!
Note: Athletes, Medics, ROTC Officers, Cultural group members, Campus Headliners, OJTs, PWDs, and SSC Taskforce shall be automatically exempted from obligations related to SSC events only.
For questions or clarifications, please contact your department coordinators or the Supreme Student Council (SSC).
Thank you for your cooperation!
